Thank you Steen.
Couldn't see your picture here, that was why I asked for the original link. It was the same in the new link, couldn't see all the pictures except Gooch's spearkers in page 5. Thumbnails do not show (tried both Firefox and IE6 under WinXP). May be some problem with the settings for this forum. Has somebody got any idea?
Do you have a web page to show your great products?

Could you please tell us why?

heating =reheating cycles can unscrew your screws 😉
you're DIY person,so why not be 200% sure 😉
even if that will happen in one of 10 cases...it's worthwhile; I see more than once burned transistor, just because of that.
Steenoe,
Your amp looks mighty fine ,real professional work. Could you tell the dimensions of the heatsink and how hot it gets? Also I assume, the 2x18V used as a 36V windig? I'm still looking for the heathsinks, before I start. I have pretty much everything else now.
thanks

new to forum...can I still purchase Lovoltech
I am new to forum and was wondering if anyone still has bulk and selling smaller quantities of the J-fet Lovoltech LU1014D. I don't want to seem redundant but I have not seen a recent post to this.
Thanks!

mikescivic,
I think GRollins still have some LU1014D. I just got some from him. You can send him a private mail by clicking "Click here to email GRollins" in the above link provided by Zen Mod.

Locked out e-mail?
I can't seem to get a message to GRollins I don't know if I am doing something wrong or if he has locked himself out to new e-mail. If anyone has any suggestions....I am still trying to locate Logoltech components.

I'm just guessing, but it would seem that there is a period where new members can't e-mail other members. Will someone please bash a moderator over the head and get an answer on this? It seems rather silly to me to impose a waiting period but not tell anyone.
I'd ask, myself, but I'm sufficiently disgusted with the moderators that I don't care to have anything to do with them if I can avoid it..
And...yes...for the thousandth time...I still have parts.
I will post here in large print when I'm out.
In fact, I will give a last call before I run out.
You do not need to keep asking if I'm out.
I have parts...I have parts...I have parts...

EDIT: mikescivic, it might help if you turned on your e-mail.

New users e-mail & post
I've experienced the same problem, although I'm no new member, and I sent mails to Stenoe - ie.
It seems like if you don't send any mail or post for a period of time, you go into "moderation", as it happened to me for my recent posts.
After 3-4 posts, now I've been registered (again), and I can e-mail & post.
Regards

Couldn't agree more!!
That will also create a lot of noise in the forum 'cause people wouldn't know what is happening and they will be asking for help or making complaints.
I have sent 3 mails to the webmaster and didn't get any reply at all!!

If restrictions are posed under some conditions, please include that in the FAQ area.
I gave up on on the whole moderation thing ages ago. I no longer expect rational, consistent, or decent behavior from them. If the site is running, I post. If it's not, I don't. If I see horrific behavior go on for an unreasonable period of time with no sign of action from the moderators, I step in. They then yell at me for doing what they should have been doing all along. To which I reply...sigh.
It's a pity, really. This was once a pretty decent place.
Bummer.
For the record, I obstinately believe this site has the potential to regain its former status, but I'm firmly convinced that it's policy of the current moderator staff to drive members to other sites.

Grey,
Geez, its hard to post when the site ISN'T running so I'd say that is a shrewd strategy.
Perhaps if you reported the behavior that would work. The idea is that members see horrific behavior and press the "report" button and alert us. Seems to me that is a better strategy than to sit on your hands for while sighing terribly, then take action on your own which probably will earn you a yelling- not that I remember anyone yelling at you under my watch. I should think you would have figured this one out by now.
Sorry you have to sigh so much, life is hard I guess 😉
Oh, members under moderation, which includes new members, don't have e-mail. That's the existing software- we can't change it at this point. There does seem to be some issues with the mailing, but it isn't a mod conspiracy- it is not under the control of the mods.

Reporting bad behavior is futile. I tried it. Gave it up. I have better ways to waste my time.
First you have to report the behavior. Then you receive the inevitable return e-mail from a moderator trying to rationalize why the offending member is actually contributing something useful, even though the post consisted entirely of an off-topic rant about the target's incompetence, stupidity, and poor personal habits, not to mention the observation that his hair sticks up funny in the back. This means I have to take time to compose a response wherein I am forced to explain something that any kindergarden-aged child should know about civilized behavior and manners. Then the moderator's defensive reply as to how he doesn't see it that way. Then my pointing out that this or that or the other thing might--just might--be offensive to the targetted member. Then another, even more defensive (read: borderline hostile) response from the moderator...in spite of the fact that the target member has since posted, saying that he is, in fact, offended.
Note that the offending member is continuing to flame during all this behind the scenes yik-yak.
As I said: I don't have the time--even less so now than in the past.
I still have (I think--it wasn't all that long ago) an e-mail sent to me by a still-current moderator excusing a member's obviously insulting behavior towards another member as--get this--an example of the member 'hurting himself!'
Yeah.
Right.
I have tales I could tell from way back concerning wayward members who got away with murder because certain moderators thought they were 'funny.'
Sickening, is what it is.
Sorry, Variac, but I have ample--hell, more than ample--reason for my position. It's not something I arrived at by accident or on a whim.

Sorry Variac, no offence, but who has the control on this and how can we contact him/her to solve the problem instead of mailing to the webmaster who never makes any reply?
New Members e-mail
The point is that when a new member tries to send an e-mail, he's taken to a window where he's told he needs to register. When he tries to register, he's told he is already registered. So he says "what's the ****" and starts trying to get help from everybody.
A simple notice that members under moderation cannot use e-mail - instead of the wrong request to re-registration - would save lots of time to everybody.
