always use spring washers, along with plain ones.
You are right, "Moddy" I will install them when I get the chance (next time I take the lid off!) Better to be safe, indeed🙂
I have some upgrading for the ZenV9 on my mind, so when time permits......

Your amp looks mighty fine ,real professional work. Could you tell the dimensions of the heatsink and how hot it gets? Also I assume, the 2x18V used as a 36V windig? I'm still looking for the heathsinks, before I start. I have pretty much everything else now.
Thanks Miklos. The heatsinks are 360x180x70 mm.
The body of them is 12 mm thick. Not quite a wimpy heatsink, but it gets varm nonetheless🙂
The trafo's are two pcs of 300VA's at 2x18v each. Using the secondaries in series gives you the desired 36v ac before the rectifiers🙂

Regarding the forum discussion, I will stick to DIYaudio, as long as we have the privilige of having Mr. Pass around😉
Cant wait to see that new preamp, by the way 🙂

Oh yes? In what sense?
Thats just minor upgrades. Better parts for the capacitor's mostly🙂 But you know, audiophile cap's are big and not suited to be soldered on a pcb. You need to find a compromise between size and sound.

Yeah, that new preamp that has been whispering about for a while😀
Cant imagin it will be a lot better than an X'd-CCS'd BosoZ though.

Steen🙂

The factor that hasn't been addressed (regarding e-mail) is that it used to work. This inability to get in touch with people is a relatively recent development--say within the last three months or so.
Perhaps the software that runs the site was 'upgraded' around that time. I don't have any information along those lines.
At any rate, I'll drop you a line. It's a cumbersome way to do things, but it does seem to work.

As I mentioned, we appreciate members pointing out these problems, rather than merely complaining in generalities. We try our best to make things better but sometimes this old software is difficult to tune up and sometimes it just collapses. We have plans to solve a lot of these problems, but it is a slow, painful process.

An effort is underway to resolve this particular problem and we hope to have results in the near future.

Thank You

Last update on the EU leg of this case🙂 Everyone that enlisted, has got their J-fets.( Maybe except a few people that will receive them shortly, they are on their way!) There is only one guy missing, and he was pretty lively, not so long ago, I guess he is on vacation! As far as I am concerned, I consider this a job done! There is noone on the waitinglist so I am pretty pleased right now🙂 I have sent out J-fets to something close to a hundred people😉 Pretty cool to see all those folks interested.
As I said before, if the demand is big enough I will take one more turn.
