oh yeah

did full homework

No go with additional emiter/source/cathode/voodoo follower in between input JFet and output gate, which would enable Schade iteration

This time my ambition outweighed my talent, couldn't beat additional TempCo of said follower stage, so byebye Herr Schade

Anyhow, covered entire BL range of 2SJ74 (defined critical values so functional with tried 6.5mA, 8.1mA and 10.88mA JFets)

Also covered two logical iterations - Semisouth down and IRFP150 down

It behaves, it sings, feet are tapping; both

So, another one on pile of ZML amps which all sounds the same

:devily:

One of these days will open proper thread, with all gigglywigglies and other adequate porn

Tim de Paravicini's amp, made by Musical Fidelity, named A1

Never made properly, in fact - made properly as one year lasting heating plate, good for Pizza treatment

my love from youth...... and I still have one

anyhow, now made properly :devily:

finally got to make some substantial changes, so able to call it Babelfish, and be happy with

not so nostalgia as it was sort of puzzle, existing for years

first to understand circuit, then to try to understand reasons for compromises I was able to see (I was surprised eons ago when I realized how much is possible to learn in process of trying to understand constructor's line of thoughts and reasoning), then to try to devise and implement some changes ........

I made my own MF A1 clone 35 yrs ago, along with all mistakes and flaws
