Krell KSA 50 PCB

I just digged out my KSA Pinkie boards Impelled by this talk. Actually I have all parts to stuff'em put in the box together with the boards.

Me to. The only thing missing is a regulated PSU for 12 and 5VDC to the fancontroll. Box, parts and all else are precent and acounted for. Just have to finish a preamp first 🙂

Ohh, but I finished a load of things. BosoZ X'ed CCS'd and CC'd. Aleph 5, zenV9, Pearl Phono, BoZ, I can keep on, like F2 ZenV1 and 2 and...I am sure you get the picture. Pass is my fancy😀
Its just that the Krell doesnt really appeal to me. I tried, but it didnt work...Dooooh again😀

Steen😎
Edit. KMJ those psu's are the least prob😀 Get your finger out😀

Same here Wim. Because it's getting to much, I already sold my populated KSA50 boards (both Al's and Pinkmouse's).

Did I make two boards without realising? 😉

Steenoe, build it anyway, you might be pleasantly surprised. After all, you can always use the expensive bits, (case, PSU, heatsinks), for a Pass thing later, and it doesn't hurt to have something good to compare them to! 🙂

Hi guys, I've finally disslocated my thumb and done some soldering. I'm two zeners short, a 12 and 5V regulated supply and some wiring left but then my radiator will be finished.

I was forced to use some aluminumprofiles to mount the driverboards on and I hope that they will provide enough cooling, if not I'm in trouble due to the usual problem with space.

Some pictures of my small but heavy friend.

In the front half, transformers, Caps, fancontroll and soon the regulated supply for the controll. In the back all Krellboards and softstart are placed. Underneath the sink there's a 120mm fan which hopefully will blow upward.

I must have missed the discussion around the middle bolts... so is that a bad thing.... or just unfashionable?

I think he refers to that a centerbolt combined with these transformers mountingbrackets would create a loop. Like when you let a bolt fastend in the bottom plate go through the transforrmer and then fastened again in the top. Which is bad :dead:
