Well, I had 400mV quite happily on that sink with an earlier version, heatsinks/fan noise quite bearable, (to me! ).
But i STILL (yes, still) don't have a case for it......
Yeah, I got diverted into a mini A, but as all the work on that is done 'till I get the Mosfets, I'm looking at chassis design as well..

Ah i see!
I have about 440mV because it's pretty warm at the moment 🙂
It gives me a LOT of power drain ! (about 770w main power drain at idle for 2 channels).... And it's enough to notably warm the whole room 🙂 Good in the winter... not so sure about summer... 🙂
600 - 800 W is power consumption of hot plate 😀...too many heat for average 1 W of listening, isn't it thruth, guys ? 😉

Hey, Pavel's no Troll! He just likes winding us up. 🙂
Anyway, if it wasn't for his help, the PCBs you now have in your hands wouldn't be half as good as they are, so he's quite welcome to post whatever he wants. He may be wrong, of course...😉

To BN : Do you mean ? 😀 Physics is incorruptible and and give new looks at humen's ambitions 😉 .
770 watts at idle ?
Assumed this monsters runs for one year permanently you have created additional costs of 1012Euro just for Electricity !!!! (costs where i live)
Okay, you can subtract the costs for heating in the winter... 😀

No, Al ... My look at class A is quite relevant and I know take into account all pros and cons... Is relative easy to build good class A amp, much more easy than good AB ( easy by look of connection ). For manufacturers is all that thing favourable, 'cos they are selling " big machine " by " big money ", so all time they " wash heads " of customers with promotions "...only class A...etc ". Try to think about it... 😎
Pavel, that's why my next power amp project will be AB. Well, after I finish the
Mini A that is... 🙂

Only thing I have seen him wrong about was thinking he could educate some of us!...
Pavel-
When will you let us build your new amp?
bremen nacht said:Hello, Upupa. Going to send pics of your Krell-a-like, or did you decide on JLH? ;-)
I sent Pavel a pair of Jan's boards but I don't think he ever received them.
I am planning on sending him a pair of Al's and a parts kit (registered, insured mail this time) and expect him to build it for a shop heater while he designs his own amps. 😀
Atten GB'ers
The kits should go out Friday.
I have had numerous requests for a second GB.
I hope to do one in the next 2 weeks as I did order my own in this round, but forgot Pavels, Al's and Mark's in appreciation for doing the second set of PCB's and will be sending mine to them.
The first GB was based on us ordering 50 channels so we could get the 100+ price break. Well we only had 30 channels so the cost was higher. IE, don't expect fancy packaging or labeling... And I will cover the shipping shortages.. Not a big deal since the new house was postponed till spring (Yeah!).
The second GB the price per channel will HAVE to increase by a buck or two. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
Please email me DIRECTLY @ stgrab@yahoo.com (stgrab at yahoo.com) AFTER MONDAY.

Well spotted! That's already been removed, I posted an early version, I don't have the new one on this computer.
While I am inclined to trust Pavel's know how... I am really curious how his class AB sounds 🙁

Shouldn't you put a 10-100 uF capacitor on the output of your regulator to ensure stability?

Probably, yes, but it's been running fine for 6 months or so, and doing so would probably ruin the top end response... Sorry, that's my minimalist gainclone personality speaking, I'll take it away and give it a good thrashing! 🙂
Troy, still I don't got any PCB's 🙁 , probably they are now in DIY's heaven 😉 and St. Peter make his own " foot radiator " 😉 And how my amps sound ? Truely...😉 ... any honey...
