If you need the science then look at how signals travel....

Thanks, I've been designing and installing studios, transmission sites and complex control systems for 30+ years. This is more about your reasoning, unfortunately common here, than it is about 'the box'. You don't know what's in it but claim absolute certainty about some of its properties. To me that's not science.
Is it a grounding block? Maybe. Do grounding block have benefits? In certain circumstances. Again, good audio grounds in large and tall buildings are a rarity in my experience. Is a $1000+ grounding block a good value? Under no circumstance I can envision.
How you defend science is far more important than the result defended. The latter is always open to revision and improvement. However discarding scientific method in favour of the typical happy dances here does more damage than benefit to science acceptance.

What is this mythical 'audio ground'. Is it somehow different to any other ground? Grounding can be confusing to the lay person and can cause the professional to go round in circles. But in most cases there are well defined ways of addressing it that get to 90% of the problems, leaving the other 10% for experts and masochists🙂

Russ Andrews 2015 - Connect With Your Music is a prime case of mixing good practice, bad practice and snake squeezings all in one.

I am sure somewhere there is a ben duncan article on how to deal with studios on the nth floor, but can't find that at the moment. Ben is endearingly loopy, but some of his stuff is spot on.

LOL, its a bit of wire with a bit of copper at the end of it.please enlighten me as to what it would do.
There is no scientific method to discuss, its a bit of wire and a wooden box....
And here is some more rubbish... pure baloney.
Ground Boxes | Entreq

It is a box with earth in it so why can it not be earth?

What about all the equipment in a plane where would they find an earth, obviously one of these boxes.

What about a boat, they cant use the anchor, so the earth box is the obvious answer.

Same as spacecraft they need to take an earth box with them else there would be no communications with earth!

You guy's just bitching because it was not your idea.

It is that magical star point, that all the return currents will pass through, a high current density area if you employ spiders legs grounding. Me I prefer the term "Bouncy sort of 0V reference point with miscellaneous currents, often raising controversy in audiophiles" but it looks silly on circuit diagrams so I use 0V.😀

Not down in London, you need to move up north to were real lads are, you'll have developed Southerners hands down there🙂😀
A few days at Rugeley and you get use to the smell, it reminds me of the time when we had a coal fire, the air conditioning pulls the smell in.

What does worry me about these earth, sorry ground boxes, is its getting a bit Dracularish, of course a wire in a wooden box opens up a whole new market for box fillers..............

My mum said I used to eat coal when I was a toddler.......... this might explain more than a few things......😉

The Ground Boxers miss some basic electrical points:
a] A low noise AC power system, does not need a connection to Mother Earth to be low noise. But it does need that connection for safety.
b] Neither good electricity nor bad electricity has any interest in Mother Earth as a destination.
c] Both good electricity and bad electricity want to get back to their voltage source (that's the power company Neutral) and will take all available paths back to this source. Only rarely is this path through Mother Earth.
d] These Grounding Boxes provide neither a path nor a destination for any electricity.
