Kartesian Acoustic

What kind of crossover would you consider ??
My idea is triggered by a project description I found here. This is subject of a slightly controversial discussion, but appears very promising to me.

Since I own (and love the sound of it!) a Quad 303, I'm considering to use 303 clone boards to power the speakers. And I'm looking for a coax system covering mid tone and treble ... loving my Tannoys too, in the end!

I'm in a very early stage right now, no plans yet, just an idea ...

A simple mail to a merchand in their native language should suffice, but it shouldn't here and it's not my wish to run behind them for an answer, so I ordered the driver elswhere but continue to buy them crossover parts :) and drivers in stock as they ship fast and have the best price within CE ... too bad as it was about an Audax driver ! I don't advice to purchase them drivers non in stock though... Wanted to buy french but if the suppliers don't support their own industries, what can I do more ??? So I purchased in Belgium a SB Acoustic and was happy to the very good service and price of CompacBel Belgium (shipment is free in CE above 100 euros iirc : that's a good point too and it's DP Services logistic : same as THLP !

According to the founder:

"We have been developing and producing exclusive speakers for prestigious brands in HiFi and Pro audio for more than 10 years.

In 2020, we created a range of products for enthusiasts and small structures.
Each of our products incorporates innovations, sometimes patented.
We do not make an "ordinary" product, the market is saturated with it. This vision explains the fact that we only have one reference per type of product: only the best.

All products are tested on our Klippel bench, then validated by listening sessions.
The published measurements were made on an IEC baffle in our 130m ^ 3 anechoic chamber, with an LMS system calibrated and verified by an independent laboratory: TüV.

Prototyping and production for series less than 150 - 200pcs are made in France , beyond that we have a production line in China in order to maintain our competitiveness.

Note that the 2 production lines follow the same assembly process, and the same quality controls.

Each of the loudspeaker components is developed by our R&D, and sometimes manufactured by us, with our specific machines (case of spiders for example).

We are therefore the opposite of a company importing Chinese products, as one might believe from reading you."

So far so good.

Kartesian is a new brand for DIY, but they are already very established as OEM driver producer for big European high end speaker brands. The quality is never an issue with them, but their DIY-market bussiness model rely on THP as sole distributor, who had website issues due to the fire in the big OVHcloud datacenter in Strasbourg (France) last winter. So all is a bit complicated now as all their IT systems were on that datacenter that burned down...

Most manufacturers purchase parts in China, because making everything in-house would be cost prohibitive.

In the past we have seen how Erich from diysoundgroup put together a driver with parts from different suppliers (Denovo DNA-360) that is equal or better than a comparable A-brand driver (B&C DE250).

There is also no doubt that top quality parts are manufactured in China. The end products on Ali-express etc. are usually of mediocre quality, because the quality control in particular leaves much to be desired. The same quality control has long made the difference between the well-known A-brands and the generic Chinese clones.
Today, however, it is very well possible to locally produce complete drivers that meet the highest specifications in collaboration with specialized companies.

Compare the following Chinese drivers and components with the images above.
