It's ok. SMD can be intimidating, but I believe there is a benefit to it. EUVL and Joachim did an output buffer and EUVL stated that the tight layout and SMD parts was, in his opinion, a contributor to the quality of the sound. Just compare trace lengths in the two designs.
I agree that SMD have benefits but I already have TH HQ caps and resistors.

Boards should be here in less than a week. Parts are on the way. Perhaps all can be in route to their destination by next weekend.
not sure what the problem is. Boards have been stuck in New York at customs, since the 25th. Have the post office looking into it.

I had a bunch lp's held at customs for almost one month between last December and January, was quite frustrating...
I will contact the P.O., again, tomorrow. They had nothing to tell me and were supposed to call me back. Nothing ever goes as planned.
I have still yet to get any useful information on the status of the boards. They are sitting in customs in New York. I cannot get a single representative of the mighty USPS to give me any more info than the website will show. I even went into the PO and they looked at me like an alien when i asked for help. You have to love government run programs.
