wait, i will show you via a simple layout.
Edit:
ok here you go, hope it makes clear. mosfet has to be on a heatsink.

Thank you Prasi! 🙂🙂🙂 the mosfet will have a heatsink.
Always generous🙂
I had the sch ready, it just took 5 mins and I wanted to help out a new person.
Good to see you are still active on diya my friend...
had I sent you already my new PRAKSA55 amp pcb?
its too good and one other member who tested it said its within 3rd best amp he ever built till date... All credit goes to the one and only Hugh Dean...
Can I use the Cap-Mx in a low powered project? I have one availed from a M2 amp and want to use it for a BA-3.

Hi my friend, i don't know, is this the one that i had debug about a year ago?
Stay safe my friend! Just now i see bad very bad news from India.
India ended up from medical oxygen?

Yes, there is a smt version with to-220 components, xrk built it.
passive420 has a nice crc+cmx+regulator version which he is quite pleased about. just check with him for a pcb.

yes the situation is bad here, but i am ok, just had first shot of vaccine.
yes, its the same amp, with newer version with some changes..
What is this exactly? Is it like the baby aksa Greg posted?had I sent you already my new PRAKSA55 amp pcb?

Very curious cause I just populated 2 of the baksa board and wonder what schematic you used.
Thank you.

So it is a new amplifier, no i haven't this.
I can't remember if i have sent you any test from the old version. 😕
I remember clearly that it is a very good sounding amplifier.
I had first shot of vaccine a month ago too.
thimios.
Juma's capacitance for A class testing, made it last night on the board for easier handling. I have been using it for a few years in p2p form.

Is irfp244 a good replacement for the irfp240. Mouser out of stock and keen to place an order.
Thanks
Thanks
I don't know whether I fried anything.?!
Wired up the positive side alone and all good.
Was a bit confused how to wire the negative side and I thought I'd beeped it out correctly so I tried the neg side with BR - to GND(BR2) and connected my BR + to V- (BR2).
No magic smoke or anything but no leds .
Did I wire correctly? Could I have killed something if incorrect.?!
Leds on neg rail appear correct orientation
Thanks
Edit......damn! With reference to a photo on post #355 I got it wrong. Will I have blown the transistors? The first big smoothing cap on that rail measures ok. It blew the mains fuse and also blew it again when I correctly orientated the BR wiring. So something is damaged!

Prasi thankyou. No I need to build one i think! I got confused with the polarity of the negative rail rectifier connections. Successfully removed them and ordered new ones!
