How to tell of its not a Juma Easy Peasy cap Mx? It will have 2 BJT’s instead of a single MOSFET and have typically a potentiometer.
Both work well but the MOSFET based one has a slow ramp startup that’s useful to prevent thump on speakers and also easier on electronics due to less thermal shock from turn-on. Essentially a soft start for your amp. It’s not a soft start for the upstream trafo though.
