Didn't I tell you? I also told you I'd use the 741 if I were you. You'll lose nothing noticeable, IMHO.
Hi Ikoflexer
I tend to agree with you, with 741 the imaging and midrange is better when compared with AD817AN

Hi Algar,
i take it that the values you have measured here were for the 656, correct?

Greetings
Will using the 22uf OS-CON caps where smaller ones are called for be bad? It looks to me that all the OS-CON caps in this circuit are to filter supply rails. Anybody have an answer to this?
Thanks,
Daniel
Thanks,

I still receive some requests for PCB. Please send me a private email to bergeron.syl@videotron.qc.ca. I may be able to help you for a few boards.
Thanks...

Sorry to my fool question about this supply,
Does it suitable use in SE 8W power AMP (serve to single channel) ? Or only apply to Preamp ?

Read the documentation, you can use an external tube control shunt element for higher power load. I never tried it myself, but it can be done. Can you select a suitable tube for your application, I don't know either.Maybe someone else can help you on that. Anyway the regulator documentation is a good start.
Hi. I'm ordering from Europe FET 2SK369BL for my own use. They are 0.56 EUR each.
I may as well order some for those interested for the HV Regulator PCB.
Please let me know if you want the FET? You'll pay only my final cost, delivered to Canada. You can pay for it with the final shipping cost...
I would like to order the FET this week, so by the week end, I'll close the offer.
Let me know.
Thanks...

Has anybody built this HV shunt reg yet? Any impressions? Any comparisons to Gary Pimm HV series reg. or other such regs?
Hi All,
I am building this shunt regulator too, but unable to source the depletion mode Mosfet for the CCS portion. Is it possible to replace the Depletion mode mosfet (LDN150N3 or BSS135) with enhance mode mosfet?
Thanks for help.

Tested my two regulators today
At last I have done the checking test on my two cards
.
They was soldered and ready 10 month ago .
, (almost finished at post #178).
But I havent really got the time and was also a bit afraid of what the stress and concentration this function test would do on me
I mentioned back at #178 I would try a National Semi LME49710 OP Amp. I did and it worked OK. Less then 2mV hash on scope.
I also did one card with an SMD OPA656. All DC levels measured the same and the regulator also worked OK i thought, until I measured and looked at the scope. I have a perfect 63MHz sinewave of 130mV ripple (RMS) So we are a few having radio transmitters instead of regulators, allthough mine has a weak oscillation.
I havent "listened" to any of them yet. I will try to get rid of the oscilation on the OPA656 one first. C13 maybe? I have not checked the T5 CCS. It should be more then 3mA. Could this have something to do with the small oscillation?
Anyway. More of you have to get your cards ready so that we can compare our results.

BSP135 can be used to replace LND150
But you have to solder wires to the legs feed wire to pcb

BSS135 (T092) are no longer manufactured by Siemens, replaced by the SMD version BSP135 (SOT-223)
I'm reaching here, but I'm wondering if anyone who bought the HV shunt regulator boards has two that they no longer want. I screwed up royally with two of mine, and would like to start afresh with two new boards.
Any offers? You will be amply rewarded.
