The wizard works now as expected without error, and Pi is upper-case after it.
Many Thanks!
Many Thanks!
Specify two stepped segments as shown in Attachment 1.
The advantage of using two segments is that absorbent filling material can be included in the enclosure, if required.
The design can however also be specified using a throat chamber and single segment as shown in Attachment 1. The advantage of this method is that enclosure resonances can be masked as shown in Attachment 4.

Excellent, thanks for getting back to me so quickly! The wizard works now as expected without error, and Pi is upper-case after it.
Hornresp Update 5630-241021
Hi rertrobaer and grindstone,
Thanks for the feedback.
Could you please try this latest update and let me know if things are any better.
(I don't like Hornresp generating fatal errors).
Kind regards,
David
Perfection as usual. You seem to have the hang of this fast-debugging business 🙂
Sooooo, while I'm here, how much trouble might it be to put a keyboard shortcut on the 6 main help categories? I like the old help better, but I can understand I'm in the minority. I know, I know--wasting genius on "UI stuff" -- just still old and still hate mice and still lazy. Best to you and thanks again, David!

It can be a bit tricky though, coming up with a Wine workaround when it is not clear what part of the VB source code is causing the problem. 🙂

The feature will be added in the next update.
Hi,
i did notice another uper/lower-case issue after the wizard for the ripole enclosure. I'll send pictures when i'm at home, it's about s(erial) and p(arallel) in the driver configuration.

If i remember correctly, some years ago someone asked about making HR opensource and you denied it.
I would also pay something, but thanks that it has always been free to use.
Anyway, my thoughts are:
-For small(and other big) issues(like upper/lower-case), it might save you some time if someone else could do the debugging and provide patches for you.
-Someone could port HR to other Platforms, without bothering you and your time
-What happens to HR if you get hit by a bus
I hope there is a plan B for HR, it should not vanish in the future.
Thanks for everything you did and do for Hornresp!

So, this occours after the ripole wizard:Hi,
i did notice another uper/lower-case issue after the wizard for the ripole enclosure. I'll send pictures when i'm at home, it's about s(erial) and p(arallel) in the driver configuration.
If i then choose OD3 manually, it it shows no error.
Also, if i choose isobaric drivers:
And:
Does anyone have parameters for EVM-15B (Series II)? I have two of these in a good condition from an EV SH-1502ER PA speakers and was wondering if I could use them for a DIY project.
I like the old help better
If you prefer the original continuous scrollable document then:
1. Press the F1 key to open the Help file.
2. Press the Ctrl+F keys.
3. Press the Esc key.
The vertical scrollbar, Page Up, Page Down, Home and End keys can be used to navigate the file.

Thanks, I will see if it is possible to do anything about it.

Nothing has changed in that regard. It is NEVER going to happen 🙂.

Thanks for the info, although it's sad info for me.
Is there still a plan B? Someone who could take over just in case?
Nevermind, I found what I need by Google and also in the VirtuixCad enclosure driver database.Does anyone have parameters for EVM-15B (Series II)? I have two of these in a good condition from an EV SH-1502ER PA speakers and was wondering if I could use them for a DIY project.
I fully understand that David doesn't want to open-source the code. I think that's a decision that has to be made fairly early on in a project, and David has worked on Hornresp in one form or another for over 50 years.
I also believe that since so much advanced functionality has been shoe-horned into a program that wasn't intended to be so complex, taking over the maintenance of Hornresp would be a daunting task with a high risk of introducing more bugs that you fix.
The best alternative may be a plan C, where someone writes a new program that can do what Hornresp does. Ideally reading the same files and producing the same results.
But anyway, I think Hornresp will live on as long as Windows (or some VM) will run it. David has fixed 99.9% of the bugs, and it can simulate all but some very special box configurations. I'm not worried.

HR is the best thing since slice bread for all the bassheads around the world. Thank you DMB!
I'd say it beats even sliced bread!

If it's no worse than burnt toast then I'm happy 🙂.
Hornresp Update 5630-241027
Hi Everyone,
CHANGE 1
Items in the Help contents list can now be selected by either clicking on the item or by pressing a keyboard shortcut. The keyboard shortcut feature was requested by grindstone in Post #15,244.
CHANGE 2
A workaround has been put in place to hopefully address the non-Windows incompatibility issue reported in Post #15,248.
rertrobaer,
Does the Input Wizard now show 2P rather than 2p when an OD3 Ripole folded baffle template is generated?
CHANGE 3
Pressing the Ctrl+V keys when using Help now displays the file as a continuous scrollable document. The vertical scrollbar, Page Up, Page Down, Home and End keys can be used to navigate the file. Post #15,250 refers.
Kind regards,
David
