Here is another layout based on the same setup. I made it for a friend and i have placed some extra vias here and there to ease conecting components (wich cover up their pad)s to the groundplane.
It is as of today untetched and untested so...be aware 🙂
The diode is used, if necesary to bias the opamp into class A and the cap shorting the opa627 feedback path is best mounted directly ontop of the chip in question.

From an initial quick look, thats a nice layout you have there, it reminds me of PD's TDA1543 dac 😉

it look's exactly like peters dac board just a different end for the amp part.
Yes it kinda does doesnt it? Peters dac was however not the primary source of inspiration. It was just fitted to a piece of left over laminat (50x150mm).
The previous art I based the outlining on is a crossover I drawed earlier this year. The smililarities should show.
It also features two discrete bridges. : o )

Could you report the Eagle ZIP? I am unable to open it (two different machines).
Thx
Works fine here with Eagle 4.11 and with 4.13.
I can't even open the ZIP file (in XP). Says it's corrupt. It's quite an opinion for an operatiing system to have, but I think it's a pretty clean design. 😉

I'm also using XP.
Download it again.
Ok, this is probably my fault.
The file is actually a winrar file saved as a zip, so this is probably were the corruption is taking place, I personally dont like winzip, or the windows embedded solutions either, hence the use of Winrar.
I will try and post the brd file on its own with the name "pre with ground plane V2.1.zip" , so just rename it "pre with ground plane V2.1.brd"
I wondered why there was no comments on the final layout, lol
Hope this helps.
Let me know if it works 😉

Any chase of posting the Eagle .brd file? I'm learning Eagle by looking what others have done. 😉
n00beR,
Any chance you have the schematic for your PCB layout?
Thanks

Sorry Greg, I rarley do schematics, unless there are a LOT components on the board.
However my preamp is based on Pavel's design and his schematic can be seen here
Hope this helps
