I for one am big on cable lifters. Makes vacuuming easier.

I saw those at a few boutiques.
Being a formwork carpenter, and knowing the rebar mats in concrete are grounded, I asked the salesman if the idea was to move the cables further away from a potential em field from all that steel. He said huh?

I may install some anyways. I could pretend they're powerlines, while I'm Godzilla stomping around, on movie night.

These rebar supports are cheap and easily available.

I dunno Max. The carbon content in cheap plastic gizmos like that can be significant. And carbon, as we all know, is a conductive material so a current will be induced in them from the changing electromagnetic field surrounding the speaker cable suspended on the stand. This will change the spin of the quarks within the polycrystalline structure of the speaker cable conductor resulting in an unforetold degradation of sonic purity.
Thankfully, there is a SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN way to eliminate this effect: Cryo treatment. Thus, if you're going to use those cheap plastic gizmos for speaker cable stands I highly recommend throwing them in the freezer overnight. This effect is good for the play of one song only. 😀

I dunno, Scott. Those look like pine or maybe fir. EVERYBODY knows that ONLY Oregonian Myrtlewood is acceptable for speaker cable stands.

Hasbro claims hardwood, the discussion was years ago and I recall an actual species was identified. I thought it was funny that the OP mentioned weeks later that a "popular children's game" made a reasonable substitute for the pricy Chardas originals, I was just joking.

Oregonian Myrtlewood, the rarest wood it is not (~$7 a BF).
project wood in myrtle maple and walnut for gunstock blanks, clocks, mantles, tables and bowl turning

Sapele? 😉

Well at least we can attribute some real world changes when elevating speaker wires. The magnetic field will be changed. The mechanics will be changed, like tension and bending and vibration.
Of course "changed" is not the same as significant in any audible way.
But at least we don't need to enter the Twilight Zone and these changes can tested for (in a controlled manner) although I doubt anyone will ever do this.

Sorry to disappoint you, I'm using the avatar currently to inspire people to grow plants and get away from the keyboard. It might change in the future.
..i agree, no bigger joy, like growing own tongue-burner Bhut Jolokia 😉 interesting exotic fruit flavour a fraction of second - before the magma explodes

i am curious about trinidad scorpion seeds.. that should rip a$$ in half.. :Pirate:
