Scott do you know any photographers who might have a spectrometer/colorimeter? If the colors are clearer...
Not any more, used to have access to a top of the line AGFA system.
Splendid. Have you considered reducing the burn-in time by using your fireplace?Of course I will do this with at least 12-24hr. of "burn" in.
I asked this before but lots of this appears to constitute false or misleading advertising claims.
Why have regulatory bodies not been involved and these manufacturers fined for preying on consumers?
Who in the industry can shed light on this?

A lot of the claims are generally non-falsifiable. Weasel words, more or less, and therefore hard to pin down.

I kind of remember Russ Andrews getting his pee pee slapped, when his claims of powerline purification via his mains distribution wire was proved false.
It sounds like they used Kimber Kable 8TC for power cables, and said it cleaned up the power for a breathtakingly better sounding system.
Tried that, the results vs. claims were so disappointing that I gave up trying this stuff.
Did your vacuum not fit underneath?
I for one am big on cable lifters. Makes vacuuming easier.
What is this "vacuum" and "vacuuming" to which you gentlemen refer?
- Jim, whose latest major listening-room cleanup was so badly needed that it actually changed the sound of the room.
That's the one.
I assumed the case had been decided the other way. *** u me.

I think Cal was saying the cable risers lift the cable so you can, ahem, run the vacuum cleaner UNDER the cable...get it? 🙄
Scott should take photos of the screens and make recordings so they can be posted on the Internet.
Then many people can use the samples in a blind test.
Could ever double blind it by having someone else rename the files so even Scott does not know until after the results are in.

My own experiences with reporting stuff to the ASA suggests they are a useless waste of oxygen...

I don't know how this mix-up came about and who started it.
Virgins. Your cables should be lifted by virgins, every couple of feet or so, not blocks of wood. This will change the sound considerably.

That would certainly peak my interest in audio and things related to audio.
As long its not the male kind of virgin.
Sounds like high maintenance to me. (I know, I know: "If you have to ask," etc.)

That makes it an audio visual system, doesn't it?
An interactive 3D AV system.
The Axis of Evil rides again!
Well, after getting all our cable lifters in place, strewing Bybees indiscriminately across the system and making sure the ground-side electrons had a way out, changes were not subtle! In fact, it was so real, almost as if the guy was playing right there in front of us! Thanks again to untiring efforts of Axis of Evil founder SY!
