TylerDurden there is un update plan for the 3" but when I ask suggestion to Perceval about what was the best enclosure for the 4FE32 he suggest the original Tabaq plan, you can check his reply on post #2447 of the https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/full-range/88787-tabaq-tl-tang-band-245.html...all all the best

Basically for every single driver they simulate using the Thiele-Small Parameters of the driver for understand what is the best enclosure for that specific driver.
...he suggest the original Tabaq plan...
Which is for a 3” driver.

Thanks guys. The first post of that thread has a PDF attached that I have just read. It states.
TABAQ designed for the Tang Band 3” Drivers can be used with Tang Band W4-1320SA without any
changes of the cabinet.
The Physical layout of the driver can just fit into the front baffle.
Which is for a 3” driver.

Actually, there was an update along the way.
The original plans work better with 4" drivers because of the slightly longer vent, and the newer update works better for 3" drivers.
Just for your information.
Which is for a 3” driver.

random question. have you come across with sandel s10 speakers? i happen to have a pair from a friend. suspension is an eXtension of the paper cone. surprisingly they sound really really good. very natural sounding and non fatiguing to the ears.

can you post a picture ? ....all the best 🙂
So , Mr. Istvan Varga is shy guy ....... he's not shy to make bunch of good drivers , fluent enough in Hungarian ( of course) but also in Russian and English , but shy enough to not write here about his products......
Anyway - I know Sonido products probably more than 10 years , and I was/still am satisfied with them ; again - I'm not in any way commercially connected with Sonido or any other manufacturer ..... always being Solo Shooter , which gives me freedom to promote quality , and also declare BS when I see it.
So , Mr. Varga sent me an email the other day , with following info :
Where can I buy these speakers? I'd love to hear a modern Field Coil speaker.
Not likely to be easily to lend an ear to, as you’ve noted on another thread is now on your radar in search to update your system. As noted in Zen Mod’s early post, the 8” Sonido with required power supply would run you about €640, plus shipping - which can get very complicated and expensive from certain European countries to USA.
here it is kabayan. btw, very nice build! at 1st glance i thought it was cyburg's needle. i have a pair of dayton ps 95 somewhere. hows the bass on those?can you post a picture ? ....all the best 🙂
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
oh I see you on post 4287 said "sandel s10 speakers", the speaker on the picture is from The Standel Co. model S108, in 1968 Standel bought Trusonic but before that they was using Altec Lansing and JBL speakers, anyway Standel is still on business you may enquiry about that speaker......all the best

looks like ive found the answer to my question. these are probably rebadged jensen.

Not necessarily, there could have been literally scores of makes/models of drivers of that approx size class built as OEM for name brand consoles or kits from mid 50’s to as late as early 70’s in some jurisdictions. RSC - Radio Speakers of Canada, Marsland, CTS, etc.
