FSSA amplifier build thread with review

Vunce is right... Have fun with it.

Terminals are 8191 (dual secondary inputs are WAGO 236-102), heatsinks 104-style or similar.

Use a good quality solder station. Maybe you want to preheat the big copper areas using hot-air.

Be careful, heatsinks of the dual secondary version are grounded - always use insulators!

Both are pulled out of old ProLogic receivers. Directly out of the production era of the bad caps prime time and easily to get between 1 and 20€ if you're patient while having a look in the electronic bay. Some nice outputs (C3281/.) and drivers (c4883/a1859) inclusive.

Just some test-fitting...😎
Are you sure that such a close location of power transformers will not affect each other? The Goss Band is made of copper and is very thin to protect the windings.
You can check their influence on each other by connecting one transformer and measuring the voltage on the second, then turning the transformer to find the position at which the voltage at the output of the unconnected transformer will be minimal.
If it matches the position in the photo, then it will be cool.
