Faital Woofer (I attached the frd/zma files if you wanna modify the project).
Well, it looks nice and all - but an F3 of ~90Hz does not give any bass at all? I mean, with subwoofers that's completely fine but @buadze007 didn't want a subwoofer? I'm not opposed to a SW but if it were already in the speaker concept, it would have been so much easier to find a matching driver.
That particular AVR is quite competent power wise, but it is rated at a more conservative 95 W + 95 W into 8 ohms, 20 Hz – 20 kHz, THD 0.08%. It can of course be used to drive your 8-ohm speakers, just as long as the amplifier's linear operating range isn't exceeded. The 125W rating relates to a 6-ohm load and moderate THD levels of 0.7%, which seems to indicate that the amplifier is being pushed somewhat hard to deliver adequate current to the load.I have Denon AVR-2113 Av receiver to power this speaker which is 125W x 7 channels can it handle 280 W + 50W 8 Ohm Speakers?
Hello guys,
Sorry for the late post! I didn’t have much time to go back to my build. After a lot of research, I’ve watched several videos about crossover design and have become more or less familiar with the graphs.
I’ve also made some changes to my plan: I decided to go with a different woofer to improve low bass performance since I don’t have the budget for a separate subwoofer right now.
For my 2-way speaker, I’ll be using my own compression driver (ASD:1001B) and the Dayton Audio RS270P-8A 10" Reference Paper Woofer.
If you have any tips for optimizing the crossover or improving bass in a 2-way design, please share your thoughts! Thanks in advance! please see attached file and give me suggestions what i am doing wrong? regards
