Papa and Zen Mod seem to suggest we are close. There might be a few surprises waiting for us. It the goal is simplicity and functionality then there cannot me much more.Rush and lhquam. Would you say that you now have a functioning clone of F6 which is relatively 90% [or better] developed?
I am not sure about some of the "official" circuit parameters like closed-loop gain, output FET source resistance. I have assumed 24V-25V rails, 1.3A bias, and gain=6, but I might be wrong.
Is the Jensen JT-123-FLPCH the choice?
I've got an Sowter 8160 that I need to use, any comments?

By then, the F6 amplifier of Mr. Pass will be another copy of many others which have already flourished. Time waits for no one; including "The One and Only".I would laugh my ars3 off if Nelson waited till April 1st 2013 to reveal the full schematic

You underestimate how evil Nelson is.
What happens if Nelson says "sorry guys I made a mistake on the basic schematic it should look like this. I call it the trianglotron. Mwah ha haa ha ha

Todate, Mr. Pass has created many "great and best" sounding amplifiers. This performance scale of "great and best" is getting congested. Will F6 be as great as F5[T] or greater/better, and by how much if there is a metric to rank it? The PASS designs are inadvertently competing with each other for excellence; but all of them are and will be excellent. Performance differentiation among them is becoming a grey area. You underestimate how evil Nelson is.

He's at least 10 moves ahead of you.

I fully agree with you. He's at least 10 moves ahead of you.![]()
lhquam: Are you passing Mr. Pass? I would call the underlined a Clone or a Copy of F6 instead; so as to protect the right of Mr. Pass to the official name F6.Here is a 1st cut at a PCB for the F6 on a 2.5"x3.8" board for production by ExpressPCB.

It probably isn't even appropriate to call it a Clone or Copy either since the "official" circuit hasn't been released. Perhaps it should be called the Guess6.lhquam: Are you passing Mr. Pass? I am with you. Call it anything else but nothing with F6 in it; including 6 if you like.It probably isn't even appropriate to call it a Clone or Copy either since the "official" circuit hasn't been released. Perhaps it should be called the Guess6.
