I see no reason to have canceling between two channels
in every case - dual mono ( be it common case or two separate ones) is superior , strictly speaking from energy level point

I look forward to Zen Mod's [and other's] Grand Sell-off of Monoblocks or stereo diyamps. Count me in. Really, what do you do with 10 of them [for example] sitting on the shelf and used every blue moon?; noting that you'll add another 5 or more to this resting collection in the future?que ?

Are dual transformers necessary or can you get away with single with 4 windings? ASSuming sufficient transformer.
I have one 800VA in Papa's Koan , with 4x18Vac secs
but , I put it there only because I already had it , not because I like it more than , say , two 300VA in same place

Consider low frequency PSU crosstalk cancellation by running the two channels in opposite phase. 🙂
I thought.... firstfault....Nelson meant....second fault.... The resistors splitting will reduce the 100Hz, 200Hz harmonics, coming from the 50Hz (or60Hz ) current!

Not negative from me. I have dual mono. May be a great thing. Ignorance is my current status.
I didn't said that his idea is bad - it is good , when having common PSU , in CRC fashion - to arrange it in that way ;
