Thank you for your offer!

I have a couple full board sets left if you are interested, and also a smaller set that is just the cap and amp boards. I sent you a PM.

Chas,
Received my 2 amp boards + 1 psu board. Not a mark on the packaging.
Thanks for your efforts,
Myles

I have bought a number of great boards on this forum, and these are as good as they get. The thing that makes them a step above is the test points, which are genius.
Chas, received my full set of boards today, all in fantastic shape. Many many thanks for your help. Can’t wait to start building! Mark
Hi all. If there are any spare F3 boards that someone may not use I would be very interested. Can be main amp boards only.
Thanks
Jim
Thanks

Busy times,
but today I managed to unpack the parcel I've received a few weeks ago. I'm really happy with the boards and cannot wait to build an (another) F3 from these and the LU's from the other GB 🙂.
Thanks to all making this possible, especially Chas and - of course - Nelson. Feels like

Hi Chas,Yes, I still have a few extra sets of boards. Please send me a PM. Note - at this point I would like to sell full sets of boards (Amp, Output Cap, and PS) to prevent left over orphan boards.
Could you please send me a PM with payment details if you have any board sets left? Your mailbox is full. 🙂
Thanks
Sorry, but all boards except some RH only amp boards and a couple PS boards have been spoken for. For now I need to focus on some other projects and I will post an ad in the swap meet for the remaining parts when I have time to pack and ship them. Thanks to everyone for being patient during the GB and for the kind comments about the boards, it has been fun doing the GB and corresponding with all of you. Enjoy your builds!
Hello,
I have a set of Main boards, PSU board, discrete rectifier boards and a pair of genuine LU1014 left over.
Please send me a PM if somebody is interested.
Kind regards
Andreas

Would someone explain to me how to bias this amp for the first time and correctly use the test points. I set p1 wiper to ground and p2 wiper to r18 when I installed them. Will use a pot for r5 set to 3 ohms to start with. Thanks for any help. Mark
Hi Mark,
It's great to hear that your amp is progressing. I outlined what I did in post 968 of the F3 Builders Thread (others are posting technical content there as well). The test points just give a convenient location to verify that you are achieving the voltages provided on the First Watt F3 schematic.

Mr. Sample thank you I have been rereading both threads and taking notes. Only think I haven’t figured out is p2 which I guess you can’t really set without a distortion analyzer. Where did you leave p2 ? at the midpoint?
Yes, I just left P2 at the mid position. I did play with P2 and found that it does have a small impact on the TP1 and TP3 voltages. Also if P2 is set radically different from channel to channel there is an audible difference in the gain of the amplifier (ie. one channel is louder than the other). Just set them the same number of turns from the end of the adjustment range (pot will very quietly click at the end of the adjustment range) and you will be ok.
