will get sound improvment using that kind of "expensive" caps? :!
I bought the Jensens mostly out of curiosity. You don't need to use such expensive caps to get the sound right.
Regarding "normally" priced components, my first choice would probably be Nichicon KG Super Through or Gold Tune 15,000/50 available from Percy, 10,000uF should work fine too.
As to Sikorels, I bouth those at local surplus outlet, years ago.
BTW, I'm using Nichicons in F3 and the amp came out very well.
I like Caddocks MK132 at input shunt and feedback.

One more question abt caps, wich are BG cap that are used sometimes in the input path?
Which R(x) positions qualify as input shunt and feedback loop? Sorry for the non-ee question in advance.
Best,
Chris

For which amp?

The F5. I'm looking to put together a BOM for ordering from in the next week while I work on my universal Fx supply that can run 2 F amplifiers.
Best,
Chris
For F5 it would be R10 (input shunt) and R5-R8. I noticed that the latter don't heat up much so I will try Caddocks MK132 here as well.

You can find them here: http://www.audioprojekte.de/html/halbleiter.html

Excuse my ignorance, but is this cap placed between the input and ground, or does this go into the C9 position on the PCB?
Got the boards over the weekend. Thanks Peter for putting this together and getting them out. I loved the printer paper you used to print out the schematics! Funny equipped with 3 pre-punched holes and trendy horizontal blue lines 🙂
I was normally using laser print paper, but for some mailings the weight and thickness was critical that's why the "funny" paper choice 😉
That was a general question, not neccessarily related to any of the F Amps:

for F4 input shunt is R2 and feedback would be R24 and R25? am I right ?

Thanks for the clarification, and thanks for sharing your experience with the power supply caps.
Current Limiting thermistor
Dear Peter or whoever has an opinion,
Are you using this in your amps?
Mr Pass suggests a CL60 thermistor to be placed in the primary of the power transformer.
I have know nothing about thermistors, other than what they do, so what is a CL60 thermistor?
Do you recommend these be used and if so would you recommend a part number, please.
