What do you mean, that you connected the cap pluses together, or you used the left for feed and the right for out?
Correct. I took the input from the left cap's + with output to right cap"s + with ground at old 1117 ground pin location.
I will try same setup with ground at left cap's "-" instead.
Yes,that must be the case, can you post a picture of your board? You obviously have a different board. Both my boards have ferrite beads after the regs.
Where can I find Snow48_6 that is mentioned in post http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/digital-line-level/137976-experience-diy-dac-254.html#post2174307
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Yes I have those on my board to,I just loocked at the schema....I messauerd 3,3v on them on my board. So if you have removed the old regs, that would be the point to connect the new one..

That brings me back to my previous question - If you connect input to the lytics on the left and output to the FBs aren't bypassing the the lytics on the right?
Just like to tell that Gigawork on ebay sells the DIR9001 for 30$,just ordered one..
raindrop sell dir9001 for 20$
Report back how its going..
It's working fine now. For some reason it wasn't working with output going to lytics like with 5V regs. I was getting 0V at chip.
Finally tried Bill's suggestion with output to FBs and bingo.
That's good news, cant imagine why it wouldn't work going to the caps.
Anyone have a 4398 daughter board they don't need. My spare is toast.

I don't know either. Maybe it was something else that I overlooked.
I'll check I might be able to dig up a spare 4398 somewhere.

I'm old and have terrible eyesight. I doubt that I could pull it off. It is an option, none the less though.
I am powering the 3,3v lines with a shunt regulator now,it´s working fine. It's working fine now. For some reason it wasn't working with output going to lytics like with 5V regs. I was getting 0V at chip.
