Thank you, and others for inputs! Appreciated.
I miss the skills to even think in details here or calculate the values of cathode feedback resistors, would I use e80cc. At my own risk of course..

I'm also much interested in try comparing TU-8900 and TU-8200 in triode mode that I use.

(...)

Then, how does 12b7* perform as compared to e80cc? Latter is just fantastic (generally speaking). I have no experience with 12b7* at all, nor any reports how it sounds in TU-8900. Any experience with 12b7 and particularly vs. 12au7 in TU-8900 would be great to hear about.

12AU7(ECC82), E80CC, 12BH7A are all different tubes from many aspects but the impact of the replacement is always based on the circuit. The E80CC, when used in the TU-8200, is biased very closely to the 12AU7 but the gain difference needs to be addressed. The bias with 12BH7A in that amp would be very different and not that great without making significant changes to the design. This is obviously not the case with the TU-8900 otherwise this option would not be recommended.

The TU-8900 with 300B delivers much higher output power than the 8200 in triode mode with any tube options.

The 8200 and the 8900 are very different designs even regardless of the pentode vs. DHT output stage. The 8900 combines a sophisticated custom built power control module with a very traditional amp.

I am frustrated enough..
I do not recommend anyone to use UPS..
No NO UPS..
If anyone is working with UPS, please refer my frustration to your management..

Since OCT 27... Today is Nov 11..
Will you ship anything to EU via UPS??????

You cannot load 40Kgs ... How about 0.4kg.... you also have issue to load 0.4kg on the plane too.. then can you load 0 kg???

I got reply from UPS
As I checked, our record shows that the packages are being held at Cologne airport due to Air Capacity. Shipments will be uplifted by the Cologne gateway as soon as capacity is available. We are making contingency plans to acquire additional flights. We do not have an option to pick up the packages by another courier.

If you do not offer pickup option please deliver asap..
if you have no capacity to ship why you still accept shipment to stuck in Germany...

This is not the info for courier
There are 50 people waiting the Amorphous cores OPT. They should know the status of their orders..
100 pcs of Amorphous cores for TU-8900 are still stuck in Germany.. No movement since yesterday
100 Pcs of LL2785B are stuck in UPS's hub in Germany too.

I hope this info will help . I will post new info around the end of this week..

This is the reason that the user gave:
keep it on topic. general ranting about couriers is not the purpose of this forum or thread. i look forward to reading meaningful posts.

I filed my protest ..
For you is measningless but for 50 peopler order TU-8900 without the Amorphous cors is meaninful. They know when they can receive the Amorphou cores. .

Also this is a commercial section.. All threads are releated to the customers who own the product..
You only read the courier thread but you did not read why?? Do you agree... ????

I'm with the mods in this one. I couldn't give a flying continental about shipping woes. We've all experienced it, we all know supply chains are tough right now, and if you need to inform your customers, do it by email.

I want to read about impressions, mods, build tips, etc.
