you need to cut the dot line to lower the volume pot pcb and connect with wire .
the dot line is ready for you to cut to upgrade to R27.

Yeah, well I tried cutting along the dots with a utility knife, which didn’t work at all and the blade skidded across the board. You can’t see it on this photo, it’s on the top and right under the edge of the pot. I don’t know how deep the trace is under the surface but I wonder if I deformed it somehow. I ended up using a hacksaw. I don’t think I have any solder bridges or whiskers on the wire connections, but I’ll take another look. Worst case I could just do point-to-point wiring like I’ve done with my preamps, or order one of the R27 circuit boards diyAudio Store sells.
You need to use a Hakko CHP-170 Micro Soft Wire Cutter, 1.5mm or something similar to Hakko to cut the dot line. You cannot buy just the R27 PCB board
Nice! I have also tuned my set a little more comparing to last version. A little dark vision (bloody cellphone...) Enjoy 😁
I have a fantastic Elekit dealer in Poland. Asked him to import bottom and top chassis, feet, switch and AC inlet from Japan for me.
Can I use these tubes in my 8200R? I am currently running original Genelex KT88, and probably will not change that. I have a pair of RCA black plate 6L6GC, but I prefer the KT88. I am just curious if I can try the 6L6GB to see how they sound.
NVM I just saw this:

Elekit says to use 6L6GC or at least a plate dissipation of 25 watts minimum. 6L6GA and 6L6GB do not meet this minimum plate dissipation.

I made a stainless steel wire mesh cage for my TU-8200R, in order to be able to use the amplifier for a new phono setup in the living room, where our cats roam freely.
I bent the front, top and rear from one whole 11" by 14" sheet, and cut the left and right 4" by 4.5" side inserts from a second one. Aluminum rivets in the eight corners hold everything together. Overall dimensions are 10" by 4" by 4.5" height.
