I am not sure I understand this. Are you suggesting the output tube can damage the FET?
Victor, is it safe to put a new (or different) output tube in, or can the damaged FET also damage a new tube? (The FET is part of the bias regulation circuit, right?)
(Correction: the FET is part of the ripple filter in the anode voltage circuit, not of the automatic grid bias adjustment circuit.)
