Well boys, one of my students found an earlier model schematic
Was a little deceptive to me
I found, as usual, copy of Doctor Marshall Leach schematic.
I do not think Leach amplifier is bad.... i just think it is a little bit old, even beeing very good... also that needs really matched components as it is completelly simetrical.
The schematic i have received is form an earlier model, made 5 years go...but repeating the same topologie.
I felt sad... a new pants, new shirts, and an old schematic inside (I know it is proved, tested, reliable and good)...but copy..when we can make this better, our own ideas and circuits developed here, or at least, something from the last 10 years.
Here is the schematic to close the "Machine" chapter.

Nordic has done a fantastic job on developing the DX Corporation PCBs. IMHO, speed is not the problem. The amount of output and improvment in just the last few months is phenominal. The devil IS in the detail.
You'd be better off offering more support rather than airing your frustrations in public.
I challange you to do a standard DX amplifier schematic and PCB, BOM finished, complete, ready for production by Thursday. We'll be wating for the pictures to be published here.
Get working on that, and you might have your version of the DX P1 finished by Saturday afternoon. 😀

It seems you are not very happy with me.
I am sorry .. i am what i am dear Greg.
I am studying to be very fast into circuit board layout programs.
If i perceive myself unable to make it fast i will give up and will find people better than i am to allow me to be focused into things i can be more efficient.
Life goes fast dear Greg.. yesterday i was a very young boy preparing Rockets to be tested into Copacabana beach sand (not to put fire into the appartment as i have made once!)....now i have 56 man!.... no way to spend long time in anything, as perfection do not exists.... if you prepare a board to be perfect and waste too much long time, and decide to give it another look,you will see that something could be made even better... and this can make you to start all over again... to be efficient we need to reduce our obsessive behavior to match our modern world reality..... if we do not control those things we gonna have a lot of things we start and never finished...because we are never satisfied with anything...we have to learn to say "it is enougth" to ourselves, or the Madona of Michelangelo would never be ready.
Computers were made to turn our life easier, to allow us to be more efficient, and this means production versus time.
No sense to spend more than 1 day to prepare a board that we can make with a pen and papper in 2 hours, and spend more two hours to adjust size, distance and to make a good technical draw enougth to prepare old silk screen material....if software and computer will not allow us to be more efficient, better to return to the manual work, as non perfect details will not make electrons flow slow, also they will not feel drunk to make curves!

The same Marshal Leach schematic is presented into another famous amplifier used in "Trio elétrico"..those big trucks with enormous power and people playing music over the roof.
It is Cygnus 400, Cygnus 800 and Cygnus 1800.... all them the same..... well...they have changed the parts number.

I finished the PCB drawing for my new Bridge Amp, but alas I didn't like the layout. The signal wires were too curvey😀 and the components were not properly placed so I started all over again. This PCB takes a while to make in Eagle, but if I am going to pay a months rent to have it manufactured, it MUST be optimized. If that takes me another week or two to redraw it correctly, then so be it. However, I'm a few years away from 56... 25 years away....
This is how far I am at this point, still 3 circuit sections to build, much work yet to do but that's another thread...😛

Not more children playing!..we are an enterprise...me, another one that cannot appear as partner and Nordic... the future Dx Corporation..the one that will be alive will see this as a reality..something that will comes true because i will always trying to reach the target.

Dx Precision is alike a Cannon shot... very strong, very fast and very controled

Even playing low volume it seems that have a loudness contour attached.... loudness on... and it has not
Voices are beautifull, trebles are fair and can be into the same ratio if you reduce the bass adjusting the input condenser.
Give yourself a chance to have something very good, very cheap as we are not having profit...enjoy Dx sonics and i am sure you will be satisfied.
If you already have Dx Standard and Dx HRII... for sure you will smile a lot, will dance and will feel strong emotions in your life.

I was only questioning the use of the BG NX as a by-pass as I know how good they work by themselves as an input cap as on Hugh's amps. Don't get caught up in theoretical values as the ones I've used are much larger than required but work a treat.
I've heard great results using BG N in the signal path but only in digital devices such as Peter Daniel's NOS DAC. These weren't my choices but those of the respective designers and I have tried their methods in other products with great success.
One that springs to mind is a P3A that I got humming along nicely and out of 1uF MKT, 2.2uF Auricap and 22uF Nichicon ES, the Nichicon killed the others in sound.... a huge surprise to me and look at the value.... book thrown out the window. 😉

I don't think you can go too high in value on that cap, for that type of filter, one can go too low though and start loosing octaves off the bottom....

I think your dictionary won't help with 'squat'. The dictionary will say something like "bend down like a woman peeing" (That would be Todd's Pragmatic English Dictionary, some are more conservatively worded). In Rabbitz context, it's slang and it means "nothing". English has a lot of slang. Particularly the word 'nothing' for some reason; zilch, diddly, nada, beans, etc. Not vanilla beans though, you'd have to look under 'plain' for that.

Would it be much hassle to use 48V rails? I have a nice 2x35V 500VA transformer I could use if so. I see that the zeners in the regulators would need to be changed, perhaps replace the 33v one with a 22v one?
Would any other changes be needed?

No problems at all, but please, test your transfomer under load conditions, you gonna have around 100 and 180 watts, power to each channel, so, force your supply to drain this power and measure your voltage under load....both rails loaded...positive to ground and negative to ground with power resistors... them decide the zener voltage having a better "reality" informations to decide about.

Pitch of the BOM parts

Had a chance to look at your recently published Precision BOM today. I am grateful for your work on it and your stellar contribution to the cause of DX bliss, so thank you!
However, I'm worried -- worried that those small pitched parts are carried over to the PC board design. I hope that the PC board will be more generous with pitch. (It would be nice to see a picture of the board design now that it has been prototyped - perhaps my gripes would go away when I see the beautiful spacious board layout).
Most metal film resistors of 1/4 watt are almost 7mm long - could we have 10 mm for all those 1/4watt resistors on the PC board?
There is a bunch of 100n capacitors that you have as 3x7.5. MKP Wima capacitors are 5x7.5. for 100n/100Vdc, and they are the smallest polypropylene caps that I know of and can get in the States.
On a different note - I spotted three difference between the BOM and schematic that I wanted to point out. (I know there had been a few mods, but these I have not seen):
1) BOM listed 470 uF for C21, C22 --- The schematic 1000 uF. (I would like to use much larger, like on the HRII)
2) C7 listed as 470 uF -- schematic 1000 uF
3) I don't see the 3k6 resistor that Carlos specified to replace VR1

You missed the latest schematic at post #570. It is still missing the output fuse and output section bypass caps - these and probably some minor changes, if determined, will come in another schematic, when Todd has the time.
