Dx Blame ES .... based into the Blameless, i am trying a new amplifier

Dear Carlos, first let me thank you for all the priceless contributions you have made to the DIY Audio community, I want to build two DX BLAME ST Amps, I have a problem sourcing Toshiba Transistors (There are so many Fake ones), is it possible for me to use ON Semi MJL4281A and MJL4302A as the output pair, since I have some original samples with me now, Thank you again.

Have made the favour, to help Metal from Jordan, to obtain non fake transistors, he does not only have ordered good parts, selected and guaranteed parts to Metal but also have provide beautifull boards, the ones Omar have designed the layout.

So, Metal has received a Kit....all parts and boards.....and was by cost price.... in Europe this is 30 percent more expensive than in Brazil.

Metal have transfered the money to pay (a non profit basis) to Rudi...the trouble is that Metal have sent the money to a HAMBURGER..and here is Brazil this is a sandwich, not a town...the town is HAMBURG.

I would like and ring the bell for your last chance to join the initial order of METAL's beautiful DX Blame PCBs (and LS Protect PCBs - if you like).

My initial order has nothing to do with the group buy offered by the Brazilian forum Carlos was talking about some posts ago.

METAL's DX Blame PCB has been layouted with a professional CAD software, has been approved by Carlos and will be etched in a highly professional way.

Hi Carlos and all members.this is my blame ST. i didnt have all the parts so i made small changes with everything i had spare. the amp is very good and i am going to etch 2 boards with the suggested component values.

Thanks Carlos,really nice amp.

By the way,how is the SMPS going? it will be usefull because it needs less space and a complete compact amp with enough power can be made this way.

I am waiting boards to assemble...i hace asked a friend to produce them

and he sent me, also, some critical parts....but did it using a low cost mail system that delays 9 working days.

We have mail to the same day...to the next day, delayng three days long an 9 working days.....and then prices variates from 25 USD to 10 USD up to 1 kilo....this covers all country (very big place).

Receiving i will assemble, will test, will learn, will modify and them will post....this gonna take one month more as i am very busy these last weeks.

Also, i would like to inform you, dear Mouna, that i am absolutelly ignorant about switching power supplies, i have never build them, it will be the first time, i am not sure it will work or if i am able to learn the stuff....i will try....i can like it or not....and i still have a double barreled gun shot, 12 gauge, to give a shot in that thing if the circuit frustrates me too much... so... it is not a very good idea to be waiting for me.

It is exactly what i think i will not have....that bass

The supplies we use, these old transformer, rectifiers and condensers, have enormous surge current...in milisecond you may have enormous current discharging from the condensers...and there's the power reserve you have to feed the high level (amplitude) bass tones that uses to be 60 percent of the entire power...say...in music..bass uses to be 60 percent, mids use to be 30 percent and treble use to be 10 percent..different than that (too much different) then music sound unballance and unpleasant.

This is the reason why speaker have this ratio in their speakers...a 100 watts speaker use to have 60 watts woofer, 30 watts midrange and 10 watts tweeter..because this is what an amplifier of 100 watts will put out when reproducing normal music.

These SMPS, i think, i imagine, i gonna know soon, seems to me that cannot send this surge of current, as has no huge condensers in the output (I will manage them to have..will see if this is possible and safe)..the circuit, despite fast, maybe fastest than the amplifier, will be thinking what to do when a huge ammount of current will be asked.....i think it will be already thinking when the bass already gone away, was already reproduce till its end and the need of current is not more a need.

ahahahahahahah!

Reason why people does not use SMPS in audio amplifiers...it is not very common.

Also i have to be sure, to check, to see and to listen, if the oscilating frequency will not be captured by the audio amplifier, as this saturates, sucks current and produces mess... the frequency beat with the audio and harmonics are produces..well... a tragedy...i have to see, to measure, to filter, to shield and to try to know...i do not know... i think so..and this is not science... "think so" is low value...is foolish... my foolish.

I do not believe... reason why i gonna make, i gonna test and will be here to say if i am wrong...... or not!

These Sankens are fake, for sure they are..the silicon block

use to be bigger, much bigger and there is another plate of metal...these ones are Sankens, but old units, very low powered units made for switching applications, 50 watts units...they substitute the indications...they erase original indications, component numbers, and paint another number on them.
