DSP Xover project (part 2)

I couldn't find measurements for the U18, but the U12 and U16 both seem like waste of money.
Yeah I know.!
U18 didn't come out that well in the measurement review I read either.
Can't remember if that was SPdif only test?).

I was able to borrow one before buying - also got it really cheap🙂
It made a small bit noticeable (to me) improvement to Ultrarendu alone, the pair beating the Zen IFI (I also evaluated at the time), and others have reported that I2S over HDMI was their preferred output method for the U18.
I had up try it..

Gustard gear is not silly prices (to me) either..

To answer my own question for posterity

"Wine doesn't support access to USB devices by Windows programs running through it. After all, it's an emulator for Windows userspace APIs, not for device driver or other kernel API, nor is it a virtual machine."

Also the current way I get REW output signal is via WaveIO (USB to coax SPdif) and there's no Linux offering for WaveIO.
I could use analogue out to Najda's analogue in, but it's a bit of a climb down 🙂

There is some hope however..

To get a Virtual Machine going on Linux and install Windows on it. That apparently can run Windows programs and access USB etc.

Might be a long road to getting it to work, but interesting trying.

I'll only follow up here if I'm successful.
