On the other hand I intend to make it possible to control basic parameters (volume etc) through a 2-wire bus so that you could integrate the Najda in a larger system.
Do you have a timetable for this?
Thanks

I'm planning a new project this summer. Is it possible to get a board without the output opamps and without the connectors for in and output? The cause is that I
need a full balanced in and out

Not a problem to get a board without connectors, they'll be delivered aside.
Opamps are mounted on sockets so easy to remove. The sockets themselves are assembled at the factory.

Will this old problem http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/digi...p-xover-project-part-2-a-286.html#post4418251 be fixed in this release?External control will be here with the next release some time this spring.
I get same problem again recently and it is present on both my PC-s, Win 7 and Win XP.
The new control application will include a read back routine, which will allow verifying the memory contents. So that should solve the issue you're having.
I can read back memory contents with the debugging tools and I never witnessed any mismatch. Still, it's not a bad idea to perform a systematic memory check.

Hi can you say anything more. Hope to be able to design a box with buttons and switches to choose input channels and a separate volume control. My family must be able to understand how to use the "preamp".

Buttons and switches for selecting source and input channels are already available with the standard interface.
For external control, I've already looked at a bit-banged protocol which is easy to implement. This protocol allows not only external control, but also master/slave linking so that one Najda could control an other one for listening settings (volume among other things). I'll also look at I2C, because such a bus is available on the expansion port.
Other news is that I met some time ago some cool guys who do CNC. We discussed several times a case for the Najda, and I'm happy to announce that a boxed Najda is soon going to be available. I have the prototype with me and I'll post pictures soon. In brief, that's a full aluminum custom CNC'd case, powder coated in a very nice metalized dark grey.

Does this also mean that you can use two "Najdas" as a dual mono set ?
Hi Nick
Any schedule for decimation and other SW features we have been waiting for impatiently (;-)?

I had feeling (not 100% sure) that xml file editor in NUC had problems with EQ sections order/number handling. In xml file EQ sections (or all other sections) had no specific order numbers and for some reason sometimes NUC delete wrong EQ sections, not section what I define to delete, but last section in sections order in xml file. The new control application will include a read back routine, which will allow verifying the memory contents. While works on the software side are ongoing (sorry, no schedule yet), there's been also progress on the enclosure.
Here's a preview of the project. Please bear in mind that this is still the prototype and the final enclosure might look slightly different.

The enclosure makes provision for the expansion board and for a USB/I2S converter. Blanking plates are supplied if those expansions are not installed.

Expected availability is June.

Nice 🙂
Okay, you know this already but I want one 😀
That makes two of us... 😀
Hello Nick,
you wrote about the new software. You will make it possible to run more than one board as master/slave configuration. Will this software also run on the 1.2 Board? That would be fine to make an update with a new Board in combination with a old board, that i already have in my home, to get more processor power for FIR-filtering ;-)

Are there any ventilation holes?
No, no ventilation slots or holes (other than the connectors).
The Najda and accessories runs cool, ventilation is not necessary.

Yes, the update will run on all hardware revisions: 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3.
