hi nick,
I have one of your control boards and constructed as your instructions ( 2 nuts as spacers between pcb and display ).do you have 3d or .fpd files for the front panel as pictured #2203 .
thanks

Struggling with that too!
I would need it for a 2U case, but i think i can manage to edit a 1U drawing.
Does anybody know if Opamp BB627BP will fit in najda directly?
Yes, but as noted above, they need an adapter. TBH, I wouldn't bother for the difference.
On the other hand, I tried some Burson discretes and they made an very significant difference. Considering that in the UK, by the time you have addded adapters, etc. the OPA627 costs nearly as much as the Burson, I would go for the Burson.
Start Up Problem
I bought a Najda Board second hand in September from a user in the german hifi-forum. Now i had build it up. But there is one problem i have, the board do not start up. Supply Voltage is Ok. What to do to find the error?
Regards
Dieter

Hello Dieter,
On the waf website are manuals with some problem shooting steps.
Have you connected a pc to your board and installed NUC?
Out of the box there are 3 pass through setups defined. maybe those are not defined any more because you have it second hand.
With NUC you can define the settings and channels.

There are not so many trouble-shooting tips i need... I have, for first step, the minimal configuration with only one led and the 10kOhm resistor in place of Display an only the standby Key. I can measure all three supply voltages at their places on the Ports. But, when try to start the board with the "standby-key", nothing happens. When i try to get connection with NUC the software also says no board to find.
Is there any possibility to make a reset for the prozessor or so?

Hi,
I am very satisfied with Sparkos Labs discrete Op Amps SS3602! The advantage is his size.
The datas are similar to Bursons.
I need the space because I changed the 22uF Elkos to Foil Condensers which are much bigger.
Both changings made the Najda really wunderfull!
Do not forget to eleminate the switching power supply against an analogue one!
regards
Ulf

I am still waiting for the converters for the OPA627 opamps.
Did allready change to wima caps. That makes the sound allready quite a bit better.
Left 2 opamps original because perhaps i am going for the Bursons too, in that case i have to see how it can fit.
At this point i have changed to the NE5532 opamps which are very cheap but sound better than the LM833. Better top end and all in all nicer to listen to.
It is all still an electronic an a wooden plank project 🙂 but it is evolving.
Did also replace the power source on tghe right to a terroid and this one: http://www.diyinhk.com/shop/audio-k...e-dac-power-supply-regulator-33v55v-1ax4.html for the Najda and the WaveIO

Hi Dieter. I have the same problem with CD connected via SPDIF (clipping). What pc-board do you have left with yellow relay? Mike
The Relais-Board is a simple 4 Channel Input Choose Board from Ebay ( XD- 4 Way Stero Audio signal Choose board Full Assembled | eBay ). In the past i bought a few things from this Ebay-Seller.

Ulf,
What linear power supply do you use?
thanks,
Herman
I think best solution will be "analog" +/- 12V and a switching power for the 5V. But therefore a Questione: Is it possible to make a Relais for switching the +/-12V on and off with the Najda-Board and the 5V line always on?
I think best solution will be "analog" +/- 12V and a switching power for the 5V.
...
Why switching PS for 5v?
The switching Power Supply needs less Power in standby. And i don't belive that it is better for digital line to take a linear Power Supply. A switcht Power-Module gives a good enough quality for digital. But i must say it's my first time with a switching Module. In the past I only used linear Power, but my past in diy was analog only 🙂
Today i took an potentiometer to level down my cd-player cause the overload from de ADC. When I try to level during the Najda-board was in action i became a terrible oscillation on the signal. By leveling during standby there was no Problem. Now it works, but it will be fine to know what happened? Is there a filter in front of the ADC that can swing?
