I can only see polar electrolytics decoupling near the pins.
I presume the 1uF should be film types. I wonder if ceramic would do on the pins, or wouldthat lead to poor sound? Ti's datasheet seems to give no clue to preferred cap type.

I was expecting to use electrolytic Panasonic FC for these small 1uF caps. 1uF Film caps will be quite big. As you said, I don't know what is the recommended cap type.
The 1uF cap I used is the P10312-ND from Digikey. Diameter 5mm, pin pitch 2 mm. The pictures are not too scale.
To address the concern having the 1uF IC supplies caps to far away from the IC supply pins, I installed 0.1uF bypass caps directly at the pins. They are soldered directly in place. On the top of the picture we can also see the local output sense jumpers installed.
