Hi all, I am new to this thread. Is there an LTSPICE schematic of the Honey Badger (and associated models)? I would like to give it a go in Simulation before building it. Also, I would like to use it as a base of experimentation to try some ideas.
Thanks!

I do not have one but you could take another and modify it. Try
CordellAudio.com - Tutorial Simulations
You can use models from CordellAudio.com - SPICE Models

I am using 2sa1943/2sc5200 as outputs. How close do they need to be matched for each rail and between rails?
you can match the npn's and the pnp's to have close, Hfe but between sexes is not mandatory, it will be though to do this...
I did not match anything. Did some HFE testing and mated the closesed.
the result is fabulous. My 5ch Honey Badger is by far the best sounding amp i ever had in my system.

i suspect that if you buy them in tubes, then the hfe might be reasonably close to being matched...

This Zip contains a .asc file which may be useful. See post #188.

The outputs i got in tubes. Smal signal transistors was a mix of tubes and singles. But HFE was close anyway.
if you look at RSonline for sinks of same size, you will see that you only get 1 of those sinks for that price 🙂

Hi gannaji,
I found more up to date schematics in later posts:
- post 1121 has v2.4
- post 1482 has the original.
What version is your file?
Best, Sandro
I think that is version 2.2 but hard to tell. I took the last version I could find and the modded it to match the BOM excel that is in the store.
While populating my boards, I realized to my horror, that I cant use my Dale RN60 mouseturd resistors. the leads are too thick😱
