The tweeter is not shielded. It is quite small and doesn't seem to affect a TV too much.
Could be for a couple of reasons. Earlier I tested to put the tweeter alone close to my Panasonic (different from UrSv's Thompson), which didn't like that treatment very much.
But with the tweeter mounted in the wooden box, bitumen padded on the inside, the 18S8535 close to it + 25mm of MDF in between, it doesn't affect the TV (at least not UrSv's Thompson) at all.
Could it be, that the wood and the bitumen is "weakening" the magnetic field? (flame warning) Could it be that the massive shielding for the 18S8535 is affecting also the tweeter? I'm kind of confused, since I was expectin UrSv's TV to look like a rainbow when I got there this afternoon.

Wood or the bitumen does not prevent magnetizing, that passes
nevertheless 🙁
I have of D2010 and I could not also put them meadows of my traditional television set. D2010 exists in version shielded, it
is for that that I put the question 😉

The shielded version of the tweeter is somehow hard to get hold of, at least in my whereabouts.
So, could the big hump of metalcan on the woofer affect the tweeter in any way? I guess my skills in the field of magnetic fields is limited.

if D2010 is slightly derriere the catodic face of the tube of the
screen it can have any effect and can be usable without shielding more
the share of time 😉

As Swede mentions I use the standard tweeter and can see no changes on the screen so I'll keep it the way it is until needed elsewise.
The magnetic field of the motor assembly (magnet) is shielded by the steel cap that they put on. The woofer shield does not really affect the tweeter the way it is mounted now.

I guess my TV is much more sensitive than UrSv's, because I fitted the elements in my box, which is the very same design as UrSv's (actually designed to fit below my TV perfectly). The tweeter was giving me all kinds of interference...
Not good. I guess I have to order a shield from Intertechnik.

gary_r said:how about these? not sure if they are correct but i am hoping to build the 2.5 clones then give the cc 2 a try. any comments if it is right or not?

the cc 2 use the scan speak drivers at least which i thought should match up better with the 2.5 clone?
hope this help.
Bumpin this topic up. I'm looking for CC 1 and CC2 clones. Where can I find exact clone pappers of these two versions?
