I can send you one.** Important question** . Well, it turned out to be a noisy LSJ74. Somehow I damaged it. Can anyone tell me what I might have done to turn this device into a white noise factory? I'd love to know so I am sure to not do it again. Thanks in advance for any tips.
Thank you very much for your kind offer but, it was a self inflicted wound, I also damaged the 370 when checking it first, and I'm not going to ask anyone to bail me out on something like that. Your offer is greatly appreciated; you are a real mensch, but I must respectfully decline. I may just get another essentials kit, then I'll have extra of everything for the next inevitable misstep. I'm in the process of building multiple ACA Minis for Christmas gifts. Trying to get my kids hooked on good sound. Cheers!I can send you one.
Yes it was. I think it worked well. The next one I will make openings in the back for the speaker posts that have been mentioned previously in the thread.Very nice final product.
Was the base done with a 3D printer ?

I just built an ACA Mini kit from the store, and I'm measuring higher distortion than the graph in the article.
At 1W into 8 ohms, I'm seeing around 0.4% vs. 0.25% without the jumper, and 0.19% vs. 0.09% with the jumper. With the jumper, the 2nd harmonic is still higher than the third, unlike the article.
The amp was warmed up when I took these measurements, with VO at 11.45V and VB at 0.32V. Both channels have similar measurements.
I'm curious whether there is anything I can try to improve the distortion measurements. I do have a matched set of JFETs I could try swapping in if that is likely to make a difference.

Well package turned up just after 1.00pm. I started putting resistors in the board after I'd stopped work and had some food about 7.00 pm and listening to music by 10.30 - biasing is pain. But otherwise no bother at all. Little ACA now driving Decware Tiny Radials I built from plans bought from his site for $25. Tiny single driver firing upwards with passive radiator built in for better bass. I built mine from 10mm figured Walnut. It's a fun combination for listening at your desk very 3D and lot's of atmospheric detail coming through. It's not going to shake the room but for some late night listening it's very sweet. I really must go to bed it's past midnight. Great Entertainment - thanks Papa!! Needs some nice wood under it or around it now.
put on a normal speaker .... 😵Well package turned up just after 1.00pm. I'm curious to know if you watched the video on biasing the ACA Mini and if that was helpful at all?
Kevin’s video helped me to be patient in biasing. I have struggled with biasing too.
They may not qualify as normal but there's a set of 98db sensitive horn speakers in my place that just love the mini. It's a better combo than it has any right to be.put on a normal speaker .... 😵
Nice! I also have a pair of what look like identical speakers I built but with Morel tweeters. I'll try them with my Mini. Cheers!this scanspeak 85db are happy too
I have a pair of ACA Monoblocks running 105db horns but ACA mini does need proper speaker terminals before I play that game. Been listening all day to the Decware Tiny Radials whilst working. They are exceptional for their size way better than most people would believe if you've not seen them have a look here: https://www.decwaretinyradials.com/ you can still buy plans for $20USDThey may not qualify as normal but there's a set of 98db sensitive horn speakers in my place that just love the mini. Instead of the LSK170, these where in my essentials kit. Can I assume these are just fine and carry on?
