Yeah, a real PIA if over 10uF too, altho the range is getting bigger
I got curious about what's now available in the IXYS block bridges - on Mouser, they show stocks of most reasonable sized ones 12 - 25A about U$20+ (these are the FRED diode bridges, not the basic epitaxial - VBE not VBO) - the ON Semi MSR1560G, on the other hand, are less than U$2 ea

Yes custom made to my specifications. Bifilar machine wound.
Approx 85 British pounds each, not including freight charge. There is an additional 15 British pounds transaction fee (bank transfer charges).

Hi Pico, have you considered these guys? Toroidal transformers AUDIO GRADE - Shop Toroidy.pl I expect they customise but not sure.
Do you know what is the shipping cost to Melbourne? I am tempted to a couple, but was thinking 600VA min. Your idea is good in having two secondaries. They can be re-purposed if required. I need to start stripping amps in future, but they are all so special, every time I think about it hurts my brain deciding which one🙂

Yes I checked them out but I didn't get a quote for a custom made transformer. The off the shelf products didn't meet my requirements.
A transformer is basically for life so I feel it's a good investment to get exactly what you want.

Everything fits, however the recommended neutrik rca hole diameter of 23.6mm is far bigger than necessary, should be no larger than 22mm.

You could maybe add a couple of those nice handles (ie. Prestige, Bunnings 3962333) to protect the cables and assist handling
Used them myself - very useful - curiously, on the front panel they were a PIA - just got in the way all the time and looked 'industrial' even on the big 40kg amp - meant to add wheels ...
.. I meant to add -
I was poking around Alixpress last night and came across some neat products that combined Soft Start and DC traps - included small transformers rather than the usual resistor divider/cap system - of interest?

Do they provide circuit diagram?
I'll see how the simple passive thermistor goes, but I like the idea in principle.

Yes I know, it makes sense.
Thanks to James for encouraging me to put the handles on.
These monoblocks are gonna be bloody heavy and I'm not getting younger.

Yeah, 'that's the go' - saves an enormous amount of agro later
About the Chinese dc trap/delay boards - no circuit but simple design - it looks like a copy of Per-Anders unit but not as good quality components/pcb - not really cheap either!
