Changed colors on my site. The yellow was too cracky. And added some pages and more links.

I try to buy LT1963 at Linear Technologies
Price is 7$ for two pieces but shipping and handling is more than 40$
How to obtain sample chip and shipping is it the same price ?
best regards

You could try others suppliers as National. I personally prefer Linear (better PSSR and lowest noise) but others should work (but must be tested).
# Farnell
LP3852ET-3.3 8187932
LP3853ET-3.3 8188017
LP3872ET-3.3 8188424
LP3875ET-3.3 8206953
LP3964ET-3.3 9486410
In fact, you should look for any regulator in TO220-5 with same pinout and with a minimum of 800mA current at output.

What about the sound improvemnts?
Hello Steff,
I have gone through this excellent thread, and despite the fact I'm really impressed with the quality of your work, I'd be very reluctent to build this PS just because I haven't read anything regarding the DEQ/DCX sound's improvment with your Power Supply in place of the Beringher's or the Selectronic's.
Have you conducted any comparative listening tests and if yes I'd be delighted to read about them before I'd go and join the group to buying your stuff.
Keep up the good work !
Jean-Paul.

We will have to wait for first user feedback. My own original switch mode PSU is broken, as the developer of this PSU, I'm not the best man to talk of this.
Technical specs are better on the paper and my own installed PSU is working fine inside my DEQ since 3 weeks without problem. That's all I can say.
# with original:
- completely separated analog/digital circuit
- regulated on 5v and 3.3v
- lower noise and PSSR for all voltages
- produce heat -> need vent holes
- can be customized (you can try # caps or regulators, and look if this change sonic signature)
- circuit will improve with user feedback.
The Selectronic PSU work only with DCX, and only act on the 3.3v and require more chirurgical mods, and have problem of bad sound (ploc) when switched on (users say this not me, never tried).

Transformer for USA
Hey,
Very cool project. Thanks for making the boards available.
Has anyone identified an appropriate transformer with 115-120v primary?
Thanks

Steff I think your opinion on the sonic changes when your PS is installed could be very valuable to all of us !
And I am personally looking forward to them.
Cheers,
Jean-Paul.

Wasn't Jan Didden supposed to do some kind of beta testing?
I suppose it would be helpful for all of us.

Another person is doing this. Jan was too busy. I've sent to him my last proto board.
The 20 dedicated transformers arrived today. Boards are shipped from my supplier and will be there in one week. I've finished the web site and the small online shop to manage all this stuff. I just need to finish to configure the paypal module.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Hi Folks!
I got the boards. All is now available. Have a look on my web site for details.

Just got it. Your're the third. My wife is starting to have a bad face with all these boxes to close...
I tried to have the VAT on screen but I had problem with the invoice later in the system. Round are not well managed inside the shop. I used an open source code and the code is really dirty. I spent one month to find the bugs and add missing features...
Great success for the miniCLOK but I only have 16 boards...

Just posted my order as well, thanks! I have all the parts on hand, thankfully Newark is part of Farnell and I was able to order everything from one supplier except for the LT regulators, which Digikey had.
Just a hint for the US customers, add your state after the city as there is no other spot for it. Something like City, State in the city field.
The end result looked fine.

Let me have the Digikey part for the LT1963? I've not found it. I'll put the reference on my site to help.
Sorry for the missing STATE but the program have a bug with it...
I also corrected the VAT problem with outside UE countries.
Stef...
Excellent work. the English reading of the website is very good.!
Now if someone would just make a better knob for these units! that cheap plastic control knob on the front is terrible.

You should thanks kepa1. 😉
I updated the miniCLOCK page with pictures of the final clock (it work...).
For the one who ordered. Shipment to USA are delayed of 2 days. The shipping box was too small for the French post office... The shipping sticker don't stick on it. I've to rebuild the packaging with biggest boxes. Crazy people!!!!
What do you think of this miniCLOCK kit?
The cost can be around 12-15€. The connector is missing from the picture.
A good way to start SMD soldering pratice...
