Dedicated PSU for DEQ/DCX2496

I like your kits, but can you supply complete parts list (Digikey, e.g.)
and for the miniclock, do I also need to order the TCXO separately from Selectronic, or is that included?

On this page, you will find the schematics and parts:

http://www.awdiy.com/index.php?page=miniclock-schematics-and-parts

The parts are easily available if you have access to suppliers as Farnell or DigiKey. The only problem is that you sometime need to order 10 or 20 units of each parts to get one. ;-)

TCXO need to be ordered to dedicated TCXO suppliers as Selectronic, TentLabs or diykits.com.hk.

Can you detail the update on the new PSU board?

Nothing really important. Most things are cosmetic changes.

- Corrected 2 times C36 on the schematic (second was C37). Was ok on the pcb.
- Added complete references for C21 and C23
- Updated C34 to 10SH68M
- Added a BOM file with complete suppliers and Farnell references (and some from Digikey)

For C27 and C28, base is still Tantalum 10uF but you can put BG 47uF PK or others as a try. For R5, I used an expensive 0.1% very low ppm found in one of my boxes but a regular 21K 1% 100ppm is ok as well.

May be parts will change again with diyers's feedback.

I also calculated the parts price for the PSU. It's around 100€ with VAT for all electronic components.

Just posted my order as well, thanks! I have all the parts on hand, thankfully Newark is part of Farnell and I was able to order everything from one supplier except for the LT regulators, which Digikey had.

Just a hint for the US customers, add your state after the city as there is no other spot for it. Something like City, State in the city field.
The end result looked fine.

Mike
I tried Newark and I can not find the EPCOS
B37982-G5104-M listed in the BOM as
C35-37 100nF 50v Capacitor X7R PCM 5 B37982G5104M 1200403 1
Well I can find it if I order 4000 what part number did you use?

Would it be possibe to use WIMA - MKS2 0.1UF +/-10% 100V instead?

Or something else all together

Error on the BOM. The PCM is 2.5 not 5. I'll correct that.

Search for: 100nF (0.1uF) X7R PCM 2.5

Tight!....

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

If I move the DSP card the memory card reader gets useless.(Not that I have used it..)
Or have the trafo outside.
Or have the trafo where it is in pucture, and move the PSU card to other side of DSP.I think it´s better to have the PSU card on otherside than tarfo,I mean near the inputs.
Suggestions..:)

Edit: Do I benefit in using the Tentlabs XO clock pcb or just use the tentlabs christal?

Do you need an hammer?

:smash:

Don't forget that personally, I only have an DEQ2496...

I don't think that move the DSP board is the right solution.

I would suggest:

- transfo replace the switched psu board
- psu goes at left of the dsp

but need more wiring and some ferrite beads around the cables.

or

- transfo and psu in a small external box with a multi-pins connector and cable (shorter as possible but in fact I don't know).

------------ | top of the box
psu
------------ | shield
transfo
------------ | botton of the box

What is the small board close to the tentlabs clock?

I've used this but max 15cm. You need to look for PCM 2.0 pcb connectors.

8729328 M80-9180099 — HARWIN — LEAD, SKT/SKT 22AWG 150MM

9789650 M80-8520742 — HARWIN — PLUG, VERT 1 ROW 7 WAY

495827 M80F1010798S — HARWIN — CRIMP HOUSING, 1 ROW 7 WAY

You can see pictures there: http://www.awdiy.com/index.php?page=power-connector-change

I again updated the BOM. Collected some digikey codes (but check for errors).
