Note that they are 35mm hight, but should work, just be aware of clearance.
I checked on my DEQ. The pcb is fixed with 5mm brace. With 35mm height, the caps touch the vent grid and press on it when I want to close the top. Use 30mm max caps seems more reasonable.

Hey Guys!
I've a technical question. yes ;-)
Do you know if the soldermask resin used on PCB is a problem with cooling?
I'm ordering a new batch of miniVreg PCB and the price is more expensive if I remove the soldermask on the botton side (for cooling, to have a good contact with the heatsink, I removed it). They use more gold.

The bottom side is on the right.
Soldermask or not?
My solder are very bad. Beurk!!!

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Walter, do you have Dutch ancestors?😀

Hi there,
My local shop provided me with 3 leg MBR10100 diodes whereas the DIY PSU board can only accept 2 legs. You expect the silly question, so can I cut the central one?

Salut Alain,
According to the Vishay or ON datasheets, the MBR10100 only exist with 2 legs !!!
3 legs diodes generaly contains 2 diodes connected backward.

I'm afraid I can't source MBR10100G, can I use MBR745 instead? They are rated 7,5A/45V.
Thank you
Thank you
Merry X mas to all.
I tried the DEQ clock module with a 9v battery and conected the out put to my scope, the XO is from http://www.diykits.com.hk/OPA.htm
Arent the curve supposed to be more Square?😕

You may have a high cap load on the circuit. What's your probe cap? Is it a x10 probe?

The first pic was x1,
this one is x10:
Is it okay?

Well, if anything, it tells us there is a measurement issue. It isn't easy to reliably measure fast signals. For instance, how long is the earth wire of the probe? That's inductance> ringing > see scope pic...
Take a good piece of coax with a BNC on one end. Solder the other end directly to the point you want to measure, with the ground connection also close to that point. Let's see what you have then.

No,it is not..It isn't easy to reliably measure fast signals.
the probe is not connected, only coax.

Not very good on scope, but does it mean it will work good on DEQ?

You need the right tools to have a good measure. Look at the screenshots at the botton of this page. The first measure use a entry level scope (X10 probe), the second use a high end Lecroy scope with an high end probe....

Well I learned sommething new today too..the second use a high end Lecroy scope with an high end probe....
