can it work?
can this configuration be used on the HV23 and if possible, what changes can be made on the amp circuit, power supply which h-step driver would be the best to use?
This will be best version, cascode input, class H output with BJT drivers. High efficiency and high dinamic range (70v-35v-0-35v-70v) good for active speakers and subwoofers.

Yes but you must use same number of step transistors and MR diode as number of output transistors.
What would be the recommended ac supply and trafo VA rating. Also for the mr diode, am planing to use mbr20200ct, can it work? are all the resistors 1/4 Watt? And would 1w zener diodes be best as well? Sorry for too many questions want to get these right the first time.

Hi Mile,
I got a friend that needs to replace the amps in some powered speakers used in bar.
They are not very high power so 100W amp should be fine.
My question is, which of your amps would you advice for this purpose,
I was thinking about F100 or AX14, would you advice, or maybe you advice other amp?
I like the F100 because the output mosfets are cheap here, and that F100 has 2pairs (four) output devices compared to 1pair (two) outputs on AX14.
Amp will run from a 35Vac-0-35Vac transformer.
Another question is about heatsink.
Ive attached a picture of a heatsink I can get cut to any length at a good price.
It is 200mm wide with 40mm long fins, and cut to any length.
What length of this heatsink would you advice please,
Its going to be inside a powered speaker for bar, no fan
thanks
If you put 100watt amplifier inside a box, it will cook if class A, AB, or even B. Sooner or later, likely sooner. Maybe class H.
Heatsink fins need to be outside the box.
Why do you think original amps cooked?
Speaker is 2 way with 12in and tweeter, no transformers on speakers, only passive xover.
The box is not sealed but with slotted vent.
I'll place passive cooled heatsinks exposed to ambient.

I have a few auestiins to add.
1. What would be the recommended ac voltage and track VA rating?
2. In place of the mr diodes, can I use mbr20200ct?
3. Are all the resistors in the h-step 1/4watt?
4. Can I use 1watt versions of all the zener diodes?
5. Instead of the ifrp240/9240 combination, can I use irf540/9540 and if so how many?
6. Wat are the voltage ratings for all the bipolar capacitors ?
Sorry for so many questions I want to get this right the first time.
help please
Anyone to help me with this don't wanna blow things up when testing.

Hi Apexaudio
I want used your Apex PSU+protect for +/-42 vdc
will it be ok if i use 30-0-30 240VA transformer?will the clip indicator, short circuit protection and dc protect work correctly??? please help me with what component I have to change in your PSU schematics.

dear apex,
as i heard 8 ohm 4 ohm and 2 ohm,10w 30w etc,but how can i measure impedance of speaker, 40w 8 ohm is powerfull or 80w 2 ohm? plz explain with regards thanking u

The Pub Cleaner must be opening up and cleaning it every alternate week.
I cleaning it and replace fan every 5 years 🙂
15 years old amp work over 16 hours every day in pub.

Nice one Mr. Mile... Hard Working and Heavy duty Amps...

F100 can work with TO220 fets IRF640/IRF9640 or IRF540/IRF9540 if rail voltage is +/-45Vmax.
Hi
Do you have pcb for TO220 package mosfet for this amp?
And can you share this protection and clip section without psu section?
Hi Mile sir,PSU+Protect Schematics
can I use this PSU + Protect with single channel (sub) Apex D14 kelvin amplifier that i am building? The D14 kelvin PCB I arrived at after incorporating your and Sonal Kunal's suggestion is posted at Post # 286 http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/soli...osfet-amplifier-irfp250x2-29.html#post4276464

Hi Mile sir,
can I request for a reply to the above post. I amready with PCB of kelvin amp but also would like to use your PSu+protect.
