Dear Zigis,
I think Berndt took that link down because there was an error in the text, he put another diagram a bit further down the page:

Dear Patrick,
Wow that was quick and they look very good too. I can't wait to find out what you think of the Alpair 6's, maybe Henkjan's on holiday.
I was thinking of trying the Dynavox FR88EX in my pair, I'm still using the FRS8's.
But, seeing everyone's ethusiasm for Mark's various Alpairs I think I will have to save up to buy a pair.

What notch filter did you settle on in the end for the Needle with AP6 ? .... I read somewhere like 22µF, 0.33mH and 1.8R.

Dear Patrick,
I think you will find this in post 519 - http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=1792032#post1792032
At least I think t's what you want, I'm not a tech type person like Henkjan.

sorry, I did not save them.. started with measuring, followed by some tuning by ear 🙄EUVL said:Could you also publish a SPL plot vs Freq ?
Thinking of upgrading from my b3s to the alpair6. 🙂
Henkjan, did you also require bsc, or was the notch filter enough?

I just wanted to once again confirm that the inductor value is 6.8mH not uH? all the air core inductors i see are all in nanohenries.. i didn't know they made them that big. also, is there a major difference if i use a electrolytic cap or tantalum instead of a poly or metallized film?
thanks
oh. ps. i am using the tb 871s
thanks
oh. ps. i am using the tb 871s
correct values for the W3-871 Needle:
- inductor: 0.56 mili henry
- capacitor: 6.8 micro farad
- resistor: 6.8 ohm
alright. i will continue hunting. thanks for the confirmation. apparently there are no 560uH air core inductors at digikey, newark nor mouser... sigh where do you guys get yours?
It was a while ago, but I think I used one of these:

i can get anything on digikey or newark.. alot of them are chokes and suppressors.. can i use those?

neither of those cater to the parts youneed for speaker level XOs.
