Combining a 2" exit driver with a HF unit as a point source. Is it possible?

So the smaller K-Tubes are 11 mm too long🙂 I wonder where the mistake comes from, but printing a new pair is the fastest way to solve this issue. When I am finished with this, I will have plenty of K-Tubes in my workshop🙂 Before printing the new pair, I will try to do some basic measurements on the smaller one to see if it works fine, too.

ot (there are a few k-tubes in that picture ) - here's a bass guitar I had made some years back 😀

Former lurker, now just a wet blanket...

Freddyi, you make a valid point. It is good if the HF can handle a realistic transient like a percussion hit. Now, pray tell, how many recordings are available that haven't been compressed to death? Yeah, that's a problem. 😡

I just ordered 4 cheapo screw on tweeters with horns - Beyma CP-09 sort of clones. They should be reasonably flat above 3 kHz, so they should be a good match to the smaller K-tubes. I will have to design some with a threaded fitting and a small fixing flange or an adapter. More 3D printing fun to come🙂
