Perhaps I am beating a dead horse but a tiny little dual rail 317/337 regulator PSU feeding the board externally could be a good thing. Then you can use the holes on the pre board for a CRC filter and ditch the regulators there. This board was one of those kit boards at a local shop in a Ziplock bag with a photocopied schematic for $3.50
As it stands, the C-3850 PCB is what it is. You can, of course, Frankestein it. During the darkest hours you can always buy perf board and roll your own. Or use tag board and 'air' wire it. That is all the rage these days.
Food for thought. Best of luck whatever you find for a solution. Cheers.

I had the same idea, bought this https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005...st_main.5.e3935c5fW9rFgT&gatewayAdapt=glo2deu
For the price cant make on my own...

Hi Peter
so for a evolution of your PCB it would be nice to use a bigger "welcome" cap like 2200µF and then LM317 with 10µF adj cap. as written in the datasheet.

I have to wait until the Mini Board is delivered. On the picture i like it very much. There seems to be a second cap behind the regulator. Dont know the about the value...
In the past i often use https://www.amazon.co.uk/Positive-Negative-Regulator-Stabilizing-Adjustable/dp/B0BX1MX43V
But only with bigger capacitors in front of the board or on non regulated outputs from Icepower ASX,+-24 Volt to +-15 volts.

the bigger the caps are after rectifier the better is the final result in ripple at the end. so in this case on the original pcb we have 1000µF with about 100mA quiesent current after modification of the values.
Hi...
I think 1A=1000µf... Not in every case more helps more...
2200 µf for the the little C3850 is more than enough...😉
