Looking again, maybe its the TOSLINK board MC pin header connector you need, not MK. You can trace them or ring them out to figure out which one it should be.
Allright Mark, I will take into account, thanks, I am flirting the idea of an adapter board, preperforated glassfiber & two sided solder pads, to allow 2 female 2x10 header. Not only neat, but very handy for different wiring tryouts.
Hi All,
Just wondering if by now anyone has anything further to share about sound after long enough clock settling time, and or if any progress has been made towards agreement on a particular output stage topology for Marcel's RTZ dac?
Update from here is I did order some Jensen JT-11P-1 transformers to see if they might be useful in some kind of output stage, but the transformers are still out of stock and the expected in-stock date keeps being pushed back in time. Maybe its because they use some rare earths in the core or something like that which may be in short supply? Don't know.

For the people who have been using SC Pure for awhile, maybe its like getting a new car? For a few months it really feels good to have, then after awhile it just starts to seem normal. Doesn't make someone as happy in the long run as it did at first.
No, used as phono MC step-up.Which Jensen transformers, and were they used with Marcel's RTZ dac in SE mode? Thanks!
SC pure is definitely a step above Crystek , it's harder making the A & B comparisons because they take soo long to settle down . I still think SC pure adds something to the signature , adds more weight and some poorer recorded tracks are easier to listen to . Crystek's little forward and narrower . Gives me similar impression if using too many plastic caps for coupling ? Those MU decouplings caps definitely help the Crysteks but they still have a synthetic signature which far less than SC Pure .For the people who have been using SC Pure for awhile, maybe its like getting a new car? TBH I'm undecided which way to go , I'm grateful to Cestrian for letting me hold onto the SC pure for a while to try out. Will I get one myself ? Probably , the downside is I listen to 44.1,48, 96 and 192 material so buying a pair is pricey . Maybe I'd just start with one for 44.1 and Crystek for above 44.1
Hi Leon,
Thanks for the update. Agree good clocks are costly. At least Marcel's RTZ dac can be upgraded slowly over time. And its likely to have a long, useful life given the subjective sound quality that can be coaxed out of it.

OK, finally took the plunge and purchased the 24Mhz XO:
Will let it run in for 3 days minimum and then do some listening!
ps. I will then also fit the LDO load resistor...
