The car was upgraded with a 200amp alternator and a mid-tier sealed calcium battery (battery replaced around 8 months ago with similar)
The battery side could do with some attention. Can a LiFePO4 be used as a second battery in the boot? But rigged as to be charged by the car but only drained by the sub amp and the JL Audio XD400/4v2 amp for the fronts

By this I mean all audio load on the boot mounted LiFePO4 and all regular car load on the calcium starter battery in the engine bay. I have a trade card at Supercheap Autos and if you guys can help me ID the correct parts from there to support such a system. I am a long way away from my Sydney car audio contacts
The power wire running to the current amps is ok for 2kw. Basically, the electrical system was done to support a 2kw system on music four years ago when getting the XD400/4v2 and the main speakers and head unit installed. The car was fitted with a 10w3V2 sub with the XDs rear channels bridged to run that. The electrical system was built to support 2kw as I wanted to pull the 1000/1 and W7 out of storage which I did about two years later and installed replacing the 10W3
The 3K is a power lust, but I am beginning to think that maybe I should actually go with the 2k from the Taramps HD series. This way I won't have to upgrade the car other than a secondary battery system, The vid is for the 1R version of the amp, but it shows how good these things are. Recommendations, shall I go for the 2R or 1R version? All appear to have ample power for up to two ZXI subs

I think you have to use a battery isolator If you want the audio on a separate charging system from the rest of the car.

Thanks man, I think I will go for the HD2k amp and use the money saved towards a 12v 100AH LiFePO4. I can keep this charged in the car this way and use it for the car audio system. Maybe I can do a removable case and use the same battery on my beachcat project. It will be a while before I switch to a 48v system on that one

Ordered this battery and the HD2k amp. The ZXI is going to get a workout

A deep cell/rv battery doesn’t have the quick charge/discharge needed to keep up with the incredibly exciting bass notes and transients that cause the amp to dump into protect mode.
combined With the high output alternator the lithium cells, for car audio use, are a game changer
