Hello Gilwe,
That's the way to do it a 'proper' gain clone as many people have found out that the fewer the components the better the sound. It's very easy to make something like this without the PCB's they are really superfluous.
Cheers and good listening.
Here is my LM3875 Chip amp project.
I used an old cassette deck, repainted with black and the front panel made from a 1.5mm thick aluminum sheet. I have not very efficient speakers at the moment to test it good, but as for now I can say I'm satisfied by the sound.

Wow, nice job!
Hello All!
This is my gainclone amplifier based on XY LM 3886 kit.
I built it two years ago, and i am using it since.
The quality of the reproduced sound is absolutely spectacular.🙂🙂🙂

mishu mk3, it looks like you are using IEC mains plugs/sockets for the low voltage connection between the two boxes. If so, that is an accident waiting to happen and is not compliant with safety rules in any jurisdiction.

Beautiful!
Is that perspex on the front panels?
@cok666n- Thank you. The tops are made from 1 mm thick expanded steel sheet, pieces were cut to size, bent and soldered together...3 layers of paint applied after one layer of metal primer.
@levistubby- Your observation is relevant, those IEC plugs were what i had in hand at the time. Security wise, it should not be a problem since i am the only one playing with it.
@NealJ- Yes. That is 5 mm thick brown perspex.
@rabbitz @chermann - Thank you both for your suggestion, i am now reading some technical information about XLR connectors and i see that the 3 pin connector current rating is 15 Amps and the rated voltage is 50V.
Thank you all! Please excuse any errors, English is not my native language.

XLR isn't great either since a lot of other equipment uses those. Really much better to use dedicated connectors like www.te.com and others. That said, your design is terrific and well executed!

Beautifully executed - I love the bamboo boxes. I may steal your design. 😀
What volume potentiometer did you use?
