Chassis for a group order of non-inverted GC kit?

Stunning, Peter...

The little dots would work great for the (right) volume control, but not so well for the (left) input selector. Does the amp you pictured have separate controls for the left/right channel volume? How exactly would you implement the silkscreen?

I've already submitted payment, and most definitely want the Classe knobs and recessed front panel. Please advise.

The left knob would have appropriate markings for source selection. The silkscreening is done by chassis manufacturer and it cost only $1 per panel ( additionally to setup and artwork generating fees, aprox $100). With a volume I'm generating here, this cost is negligable and printing would add more character to chassis design.😉

I like non-descript markings -- where would i plug my phono pre in above?

I like the idea of having the ANY in everything in live. If all business, designers have the guts or if I can have my ways then I will do the followings;

Design a computer key board with an extra ENTER key and mark it with ANYKEY.

Restaurant menu with ANY drink, ANY soup, ANY meal. Actually if the name of the restaurant is named as ANY RESTAURANT it will make all the taxi drivers happy too. And my family will save a lot of time wasted on decision making!

I'm still campaigning for a clean, uncluttered look. Even in the age of digital waches, I can just about remember how to relate the volume control to an o'clock setting. The selector switch could have three dots for position - although I think those Classe knobs work fine on their own.

I just checked my Naim amp - it does have legends on the front but being printed black on dark green, and stuck in a darkened recess, I've never refered to them.

The name/logo is a nice touch on the amp-1, makes it look like a commercial product.

btw, I like the look of the front panel on the amp-1; particularly the lack of fixing screws.

PVS Tubing Questions

To bring this thread to live again, Peter, you mentioned that the white tubing to connect the shaft to the volume control and selector is called PVS tubing & it's available from Home Depot. What is the original tubing designed for? I ask so that I know which dept at Home Depot to go to. Also, is the tubing flexible?

I have installed my balanced 8 decker attenuator to the shaft rod by using a connecting piece but because the rod is not perfectly straight, at a certain angle of the VR position, I felt some resistance to rotataion. I want to try out your way by using the tubing. If the tubing is a little flexible, I won't have the resistance problem.

I also did one final prototype, and this is how the rear panel will look.
