At least I can take out my piercings if I get bored of them (two in my left eyebrow). They will also always look the same unlike a tattoo that might look great with you get it, but 50 years later, it's just not the same artwork anymore - the canvas changed shape 🙂 Same goes for gauged ears 🙂
It's the same...I fill her (you crazy Americans, reffering to muscle cars as feminine) up, hand the lovely brunette the cash, whilst asking her phone number. I don't care about litres/gallons, although if I convert the total amount to my hourly wage, it hurts.@borchee: OK I should have said USA.
To be fair, I don't see myself adopting Kelvin instead of Celsius in my lifetime.
two of my offspring are inked. One is fairly thoroughly pierced as well. I think they started to freak their mother out. and it worked.
Two words:try buying fuel in litres at a petrol station in America...
Point Roberts
In Point Roberts, multiple stations advertise per liter rates of $1.29 in U.S. currency.
It's like a tiny Alaska. Americans in autos have to go through Canada to get to their own country. Most of their clients are Canadians.
Well, we sure do our watercraft. They cost a lot of noney and when things go wrong, it can be very confusing.reffering to muscle cars as feminine
Snake oil as a shedding aid.

I only oil my snake to keep it from squeeking.

Yes, and it all started a long time ago.....In any case, what a mess US/Imperial measurements are:

Oh, I have plenty of noney...and it keeps accumulating...when the better-hals says no-no to a sailing boat, for example, regardless of she being named after her. Shoes on the other hand...??? I like shoes too. What?!They cost a lot of noney and when things go wrong, it can be very confusing.
Cal, how about Gray Creek, BC?In Point Roberts, multiple stations advertise per liter rates of $1.29 in U.S. currency.
Self proclaimed as "Metric Free".

United States OF America citizens call their Country "America". 🙄
Now those are ugly as sin.
I can agree, if you want to look like a billboard, go for it.
We're calling it a lot of other things these days.... trust me.United States OF America citizens call their Country "America". 🙄

The horror! What humans are capable of...yet this is the way we are. Homo homini lupus est is an insult to wolves.
There's hope, though...for Earth:
Every couple of millions of years a comet flies nearby.
Hi Earth, long time no see. How are you doing?
Ohhhhh, not so good.
Sorry to hear that. What's the matter?
Got myself homo sapiens.
Don't worry, it'll pass.
I can't go on joking in this thread anymore, so I vote for it to be closed.

The UK had way too many different "gallons". One for every sort of liquid.utter mess. UK redefined measures back in the early 19th century and USA stayed with the old ones.
The American colonies imported one "wine gallon" and used that for 90% of what we drank.
FTC regulations, specifically: .... Basic Requirements: The FPLA requires each package of household "consumer commodities"....
Sewer snakes/cables are for plumbers, not consumers.
I mean sure I have multiple snakes, because I can't get a plumber because so many people can't snake their own drains (also because I have had some nasty long outdoor clogs).
