Hey guys, I bought a Spectra C off ebay today for only $68 bucks. Just have to get another coputer power supply to run it!
I am going to retrofit my "elmo" OHP to a 400W MH bulb and ballast assembly. It will be easy as the OHP has tons of room in the bottom, it will however need a much bigger fan!😀
I sold my 7000 fx on ebay for more then i paid for it too! LOL people will buy anything!

Mindless, you could go to lumenlabs store and purchase a triplet from there, or you could just look around for people who are selling them. You could also wait a little while and see if anyone posts in the trading post that they are selling off their projector stuff but the fastest route would have to be through lumenlab!!!

Another thing. For all of us Canadians, I am making a DIY LCD PROJECTOR GUIDE. I will show you through all the steps on how to build it. I also will include some FAQ in it for the newbies. It will be free to my fellow Canadians! It will be ready for download in a month or two! 😀 Well thats all i needed to say, you canadians who are currently working on projects post your results and your progress. I am still waiting on my Proxima. And I will be sure to keep you all posted. Gordon, post some pics of your new setup asap. Can't wait to see your results. some1 bought my Sharp QA1150 for $154 Canadian... I even made a few extra bucks off shipping.. charged him 25 when i really only paid 11.50.. heh.. But I was nice enough to ensure it up to $100.i had it at 177 before.. until i got kicked off for reasons i must disclose.

Well, I have just about everything i need... I think except I cannot accuratly identify what a UV filter is exactly and what a condenser lens is exactly, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again guys for helping this cheap *** newbie!

Yah i would like to know what those are too. I am thinking that a condensor is a lens which is placed near the bulb to expand the light better then just having it in the open. But correct me if i am wrong because i dont have any idea of what it is. Help Help anyone!
condenser lens...from what i can gather.. focuses the light towards the frensel better...if you got an image thats not very bright..the condenser can help boost the brightness
a UV filter is a specially treated piece of glass that stops the UV rays from the light to hit the lcd..lcd is sensitive to UV light and can get damaged by it...

well decided to take some pics of my testing phase...i need to get a triplet lens..the one i got pictured here from my ohp is decent..and i need a MH setup..500W halogen just not cutting it
here is the box ..im using a dual frensel which is right behind the lcd...got to love duct tape😀
