Burning Amp 2025!!

Hello,

I want to bring my reel to reels, I'm working on restoration, and I built an "historically" false Akai. 🙂

The Akai logo on the DIY speaker is false ....I have a second one on the bench (Akai 365), still in pieces. I also restored the little Dual, and I will have a tube amp from another Akai. I hope everything will be ready by October. The theme of my little boot will be "From Goodwill to your room", I promise that nothing is new there. 🙂

I have a few questions, as I attended in 2016, but I do not recall the details:
  • Who do I have to contact to get a space?
  • I need a table to place the devices (two reel-to-reel, a turntable, and one or two amps). Do we have access to stands or tables, or do we need to provide our own?

Thank you in advance for the replies!

Where did you find that Akai reel?

Oh the reel, yes it came with the recorder. Dirty as you can imagine but luckily no rust.
I am working on two Akai 365 now, basically make one out of two ;-).
Then "usual" Akai stuff: recapping, changing the infamous 2sc458, dismount all the mechanics, change all the snubbers, re-mount everything hopefully without leaving anything on the bench and finally fixing/sanding/staining the cabinet.

Akai reel for $250?? That's insane.
